Gutted! Ed's 200 brst world record was erased last night in the 200. Still the best brst swim ever!!! with no dol kick off the turns and no hi tec suit
God, I wonder what would be Ed's time if he wore one of those shiny suits and did the butterfly kick. For me, this is still the best breaststroke swim ever, and Ed is still the best.
ed moses is the one swimmer i would die to have walk on my pooldeck, his goswim technique video is the best brst one around. 2.02 what a machine of a swim-just imagine his uw's with the recent dol kick addition. any other ed videos would be greatly appreciated!
i think 2004 Olympic trials hurt him a bit, he didn't perform too well. He was diagnosed with asthma in 2003 i think, but he said in the 04 olympic trials the pool(long beach) was too colerainenated and it affected his breathing. Then he came back at the World Championship trials and missed out and got 4th in the 100m Breaststroke. He then decided to quit and play Golf.
But there has been some results from 2005-08 of him swimming 50M Short Course at some meets. Him still swimming 27 lows to highs which is still pretty amazing for some one that doesn't train
I'm going to beat your record Ed Moses! That's my goal of my career. Only 27 seconds remaining, but atleast 10 years ahead since I'm only 15.. But keep an eye on the Tv ;)
I got a mail this was a reply to me - well no I'm actually from Sweden, and by now I've done 2:28.7 in long course (50m), so I would be able to hit 2:23.xx, probably capable of going down at 2:21.xx to this winter's Swedish Youth Champs.. We'll see, one thing is sure I'm getting closer to my goal - as they say nothing is impossible :)
Prize money. At international events they pay out prize money in cash. Just makes all of the tax issues easier. In this case 50,000 for a world record.
i tought world record 200m breaststroke last one 2.07 something hows that 2.02 :S

I think that it will be hard for Daniel Gyurta and Christian Sprenger to break this record without swimsuit.

you know this swim is the shit when it takes 5 and a half years plus technology to break this record.

Forget Phelps, Crocker, Lochte, Piersol and all the others.
Moses was the king.
His 200 breaststroke was the best swim EVER - that is for no discuss.
Think about if he had still swam when the rule with flykick in breaststroke was acceptet? Further faster than 2.02.92? :O :O

glad to see there are intelligent people awt there, so true this, Moses is a legend.

Moses is simpely the best breaststroker ever.
Hansen is better at longcourse, but 2.02.9 on shortcourse is incredible!
MicrowaveDK 3 years ago 3
strongest mens world record, will stand for years. no one hardly ever goes 2.05, 2.02 just awesome.
