wow u got so close to that roadrunner, i love it

  • To update, this fellow got an injured leg and died in July 08. Oddly, it was being chased by other birds, dehydrated and inches from death and came looking for me after not seeing it for months. It was the saddest thing but it looked at me like "help please". I cared for it for about a week indoors and it was either too old or ill and died. That was really heartbreaking for me!

  • just wondering... why didn't you take him to a vet?

  • @Tucson85743 I'm sorry to hear that man. What I find amazing is it knew who you were and knew it could count on you. It died in a house under someones care and that's better than it dying out doors forgotten. I'm an animal lover too and lost both of my cats due to old age and I always just try to look on the bright side and think about what a happy life they had and lived a full life. but I understand it's very sad. At least he had you;)

  • rofl

  • cause wild animals dont eat?

  • well he is right ... you shouldn't feel wild animals because it might make them too dependant/lazy and they won't be able to take care of themselves

anyway ... i don't think a mouse every now and then would make a difference

  • I am sure the mouse would have liked to live, too...

  • the mouse would've died wether it was caught by the person, wether it was already dead when he found it, or if the roadrunner caught it

so it doesn't really matter =)
