Phillip is saving Susan's life, but she will never forgive Phillip. Susan and Beth truly bonded over Jim's death, although she'd not really liked Beth before. She felt that Beth understood her loss more than anyone. She would remain closer to Beth than Harley until Brittany Snow left the show. When Daisy returns she seems to remember none of this.

I remember this well. I sat there saying out loud "Jump Jim PLEASE JUMP!" and the house just exploded. He saved baby James and still died.That was so tragic, I felt sorry for Beth, Susan and Lizzie all.

I remember watching this back when it first aired. Brittany Snow was fabulous as Susan in these and the funeral scenes. Gave me goosebumps.

This stroryline dosen't make sense now. Now, Lizzie is a 20-something mother who by the way is older than Daisy/Susan who is a teenager who had a abortion. Now, Lizzie & Susan/Daisy barely speak to one another, only if maybe Ashlee or someone else is in the scene. They act as if they don't each other, yet they were stepsisters and loved Jim, it's sad & a complete disrespect to the writers who put Jim & Beth together in the first place.

@sonnyjason2 I totally agree with you about Susan and Lizzie. they had such a special relationship. You only have to watch Lizzie's leukemia storyline to see how close they were. There was no sign of that special bond on the show once Daisy showed up. The only way for me to accept Daisy was to think of her a completely new character.
