  • @Xedokai Sao is cantonese and sau is mandarin. Just depends where you come from. Also, yes push towards the dummy. Try pushing up in a real fight when your fucked and see how far it gets you. Why would the grandmasters put their 'secret' teachings on youtube you fuckwit? also there isn't a THE wd form there are only forms, but im pretty sure all of them never push up.

  • i typed in shong, anyone else?

  • nice tempo. for those who want cheap and nice wooden dummy check my video..

  • most people dont show the whole true form on youtube or their videos. This guy is missing an awful lot of moves in his dummy form. Im sure he is great, but this is not a very tecnical form. You shou never push up on the last move, always towards the dummy, and a lot of jut saus missing. just my opinion btw dont want to offend anybody

  • @TheSlothrop23, This man is one of Ip Man's best students.

He learnt everything directly from Ip Man... You either 1. Don't know anything about Wing Chun 2. You're a troll 3. You're a complete moron or 4. (God forbid) You're actually trying to learn Wing Chun.... If 4. is correct.... then your teacher is teaching you his own bullshit version of the wooden dummy form.

This is THE wooden dummy form and if anyone thinks different... Then you are learning nothing but bullshit!

  • @TheSlothrop23, Also.. What the fuck are you talking about "You should never push up on the last move, always towards the dummy" and " A lot of jut saus missing"

Learn to spell. Jut saus.....lol..... "JUT SAO"

You know what.... fuck it... I'll just LOL at your retardation....... fucking LMFAO

  • ah, it's so soothing to see the worlds best wooden dummy form again.. love it!

    Chu Shong Tin lineage UK!

  • Pretty suck ass!

  • @mofotox You don't know what you are talking (writing) about - that is proper Wing Chun Kung-Fu, that is!

It goes without saying that Sifu Tsui is...

  • bad music

  • @stormrider9494 yeah cause the music is really the most important part, you jackass

  • william cheungs wing chun was refined/made up away from his tuition by yip man. his claims are absurd and proven wrong. he may be very good but his system is not true yip man wing chun. with regard this video, the form is different to what I know. still very nice to see.

  • @DanieleToscano, This is Sigung chu Shong Tin... Not William Cheung!

  • This is why youtube can be awesome. Chu Shong Tin is on a short list of real WC masters we can all see footage of.

Watch Chu Shong Tin, Ip Ching, Wong Shun Leung, or Ip Man doing the dummy & note how even though they all don't do the EXACT same techniques, they all apply techniques & force in the same WAY: accurately, deliberately, calm, relaxed, & with total control.

Compare that to clowns like Spazzy William Cheung who think the dummy should be hit at 1000 mph after downing 10 Red Bulls.

  • @TwoGunGunnar They all do it the same because they watched his video. Hahahahaha.

Dude, do you ever go outside? You spend 24/7 on youtube bad-mouthing William Cheung.

  • @WingChunLover2

"They all do it the same because they watched his video"

That's what you think, huh? So what you're saying is that ALL of Ip Man's first gen students like Chu Shong Tin & Wong Shun Leung do the forms the same way NOT because that's the way Ip Man trained them to do it, but because they learned it from a video? I just want to be clear...is that what you're saying?

  • @TwoGunGunnar Dude, you are obviously brain-damaged. Instead of commenting on this video, you have to bring William Cheung into it. Seriously what happened? Did he break your balls?

  • @TwoGunGunnar The video re-enforces what Ip Man taught as you stated. They all should look the same, but was it the only thing that was taught? This is what you cannot know, and cannot prove. Only Ip Man and each student can know it, and that knowing changes from the moment it happens until years later. Perspective and memory are funny things. Years later you will remember that you said something intelligent just now. Did you?

  • what brain I want this comment to show to all my students as example of what they should never become

  • @TwoGunGunnar dude you may bag William Cheung but his this only one i've seen actually spar so far i think the rest of these guys can talk and make it out as though they can kill MMA and boxing and what ever. I believe William Cheung would beat WSL in a fight or spar cause unlike what i seen in WSL he kept his form and fought very well. He would beat even Chu Shong Tin as well i dont believe in a real fight he would be that great. Ip Man maybe diff but no one ever has seen much of him to say.

  • @MrSinantra

    A. Forget "sparring". We have footage of Cheung in a real fight with Emin Boztepe. Cheung didn't win.

    B. Asskickery is not legitimacy. Chu Shong Tin is the real deal - he actually learned the entire WC system & is qualified to teach Ip Man's WC. Cheung did not & is not.

  • @MrSinantra If thats true lets see them fight but where one cant just sneako someone anyone can be beaten like that. At least he shows his wing chun by sparring and shows its use and effectiveness never seen none of these theory men actually do anything other then talk about " if he does this i will do this and then he does this" thats bullshit i wanna see these guys fight then they can talk.

  • good job to the old man,he remembers everythink, congra (congra means congratulations)

  • ok. His an old man...For the love of god, please don't leave any comments like, this guy sucks, or an MMA fighter would kill him. 70 YEAR OLD MAN!!! Have some fucking brains in your head, please.

    P.S. he sucks lol

  • He hasn't retired yet, but his door is closed from any new students except those visiting from his linage. He is teaching until the end of 2011. He started 2009 running a final 3yr run thu the system, for those training with him at that point, and he is also trying to pass on the internal force generation concept, something very profound that he mastered. Its hard to explain, has to be felt, and upon feeling it one would change the way they view developing thier power.

  • It's a pity that he'd retired...

  • Does any one know Master Tsui's age in this video?

  • @WingChunNinja7 : he turned 70 in 2002.. this is about 4 year old.. so it makes it 06.. I'll say about 74..

  • Comment removed

  • @whynot363 It is a shame that all of the knowledge the grandmasters have attained is lost when they pass. We have what they gave us but still not all of what they had. All we can do is search and learn.

  • money makes the world go round what an ignorant man this is a man who signed that William Cheung sucks and who said that Bruce Lee sucked too but that he was honestly admitting it to general public

  • Comment removed

  • @oneSeabean Where did you read that? lol.. That is complete horse shit. Sigung has never said and will never say anything like that.

  • this dude would kick my butt

  • Nice video on wooden dummy but I wonder knowing that sifu Tsui Sheung Tin was once of Ip Man's student why the technique shown here by (supposedly himself) did not look quite the way Ip Man doing it. Anyway..whatever it is somewhere somehow some people will always add to their flavour. Happy Training !

  • Good for his age

  • the key to the wooden dummy is keeping your body and turning in time with your hand techniques. Master Chu does this very well indeed. Helps to know what you are looking for...

  • this is great. i am learning and watching, this is very smooth and i feel power.

  • This is a lazy example of the Wooden Dummy Form. Does nobody actually train any more?

  • @MichaelBaker1100, lol... What? We're all meant to pound away at the wooden dummy like we're 16 years old using nothing but muscle and completely ignore it's purpose?

Also, If you didn't already know, Wing Chun has also been labelled "The Lazy mans kung fu" lol, why? Because it's all about relaxing your muscles and allowing your joints to rotate to produce force.

I've felt this mans power, it's unbelievable!

  • Nice video..If you want see mine wooden dummy too..

    /watch?v=UkhyhZzxIlk

  • Nice.

  • His Stance is Perfect

  • Comment removed

  • @carlo4528 : no worries mate.. I think the video isn't that impressive too.. but he is actually doing it right.. rather than hitting the dummy hard and getting a loud sound.. in wingchun.. if u hit the dummy right, u will get a deep thud rather than a high pitch smacl..

  • @holyevil This is dumbest comment on youtube

  • @carlo4528 , he is elderly, give him a break. I am sure he could still "break" your neck.

  • @carlo4528 jajaja so you can do this? jajajaja con tu cuerpo podras copiar lo q el hace pero en su interior es complemente diferente...vos podes imitar la "coreografia" pero ni en pedo hacer lo q hace el

  • Comment removed

  • @carlo4528 : hey mate.. honestly speaking, just by looking it isn't that impressive.. but what he is doing is he is using all the force of his body into the contact point of the dummy, sending his force into the dummy itself..

Master Tsui is one of the MOST powerful man I have met.

When I met him in 2002, I asked him how he would counter a person really going for him, he told me to try, I went in and he raise a bong sau and sent me flying top first backward and someone had to catch me.

  • @carlo4528 : another example was he adjusted my tan sau, a movement in wing chun, to be the optinum position and he was leaning into it and I couldn't feel him exerting any pressure on me.

another example was that i saw a video of him in holland, a mega big black dude couldn't stop Master Tsui from doing the upper cut/raising punch movement from Chun Kiu, but master Tsui could stop the big guy from doing his uppercut.

    He is very very powerful..

  • @carlo4528 This is structure not power he's not darth vader dude

  • makes bruce lee look like shit

  • looool

  • @zombiekicker

ok fine if your not fat your a pussy.... only someone stupid or weak would use a gun in a fight. I think knifes are over the top...

people who think of using knifes or gins in fights are pussys...

  • @zombiekicker

yh cause what better way to fight off some one then to use a gun..

i personally think all people say some stupid shit like.. all i need is a gun... are pussys...

everyone knows you can kill people with guns.. give one to a 4 year old and he would kill... no style, no skill... but hey at least you dont have to get off your fat lazy ass right... moron...

  • To all of you arguing weather a WCer can win or loose in a battle against an MMAist. It's a stupid arguement. I think each can win in different cases. No two fights happen the same exact way. IMO for grappler to have a chance at beating a WCer he would have to takedown. That being said, "most" WCers practice takedown defense and in the event they are taken down, as previously mentioned, WC techniques still apply on the ground. Ground and pound is very primitive and can be countered.

  • very nice and flowey

  • My 'hardcore' SigunG---:-)

  • Ive seen Sifu Duncan Leung train with the Wooden Man at fast speeds. I say it was extremely fascinating. I have a high respect for Martial Arts practitioners and I one day want practice Wing Chun.

  • im a noob could somewho please explain to me how to use one of this wing chun dummies what do the pegs represent ?

  • Is this the great two tong ting?

  • very well done with utmost respect.

  • love this video, watched it many times. I have shown some wing chun in the videos that I have uploaded. Im doing my best to spread the word to the desert of wing chun that is Greece!

  • alright work that dummy old man he even gets some kicks in there, Wing chun, hell yeah

  • That old man is a grand master :)

  • Sarebbe ora di andare in pensione...

  • se devi scrivere una cosa stupida almeno scrivila in inglese, così ti possono mandare a quel paese tutti <.<

  • this is actually correct thank you!

  • slow good for me , i cnt catch wht they doing...lol

  • man... my uncle thats lives in SOUth know's wing chong... but sadly i live in Cali.... went to visit my brother and got to learn some wing chun.... its actually pretty fun and WORKS!

  • u skipped a couple moves

  • btw do u know that the first sections stress lies on foot work move ur leg behind dummys leg during push

  • i really interested to learn this martial art, but i live in malaysia, is there any association where i can learn ming chun in malaysia?ty

  • Where can I find a dummy like that?

  • Also, you must understand that CST teaches 5 days/wk, 6hrs/day. He no longer practices the form himself as there is no need when he teaches so much. His ability to relax, generate force and effortlessltydeal with force results from his lifelong pursuit of WC. The forms are superfluous for him now. If you felt his ability you would understand

  • Hi all. I have studied WC for 31 yrs and trained for last 10yrs w/CST in Hong Kong where I live now. I know many past and current CST students and have touched hands with most. Everyone, including me, say that CST is the best and his power incredible. No one can touch this man or his power. You can tell NOTHING by watching the form(s)...you have to feel the results of his movements. I have. His method is not about technique, but a settled relaxation, body weight ,effortless redirection , power

  • Because it doesnt need to

  • Comment removed

  • the leg is simply there to give you something to kick, it doesnt need to perfectly mimic a leg with a foot touching the ground. If the leg does touch the ground it can be inconvenient to move the dummy around and alot of dummies are made and then mounted to the desired height.

  • Comment removed

  • it is true the dummy leg - if flexible enough - can touch the ground - this is stepping on the foot down the shin and is a move - however the leg should have a foot or something to stop on. At rest the dummy should have enough room to shuffle your foot in for the reverse lifting kick throw. Both are possible in a well made dummy.

  • for example on the stomp kick to the top of the knee - my dummy leg hits the floor then rebounds up. If I break the leg I know it's a good stomp kick..

  • it's so wrong!!!

  • how old is he?

  • Chu Shong-tin is king of wing chun

  • wonderful, this man is a glory to behold, truely

    awesome

  • incredible! such fluid power! Truly wing chun at its finest. I only wish to be half as good as this guy. Thanks for posting this!

  • THIS DUDES NO POWER&TOO SLOW..

  • haha...he is one of the true masters of wing chun and you say he is too slow..

  • If he is a true master then why is he constantly re-adjusting his position?

He is inaccurate for a master.

  • ahhh..Because its the first form and you HAVE to readjust your position, do you actually know anything about wing chun?

  • I have been studying and practicing for years and you mis-understood my comment. If you can't see the error in his mobility then you must still be of the siu lim tao level.

  • what's wrong with adjusting his position if he needs to?

have u seen the clip where he stands one legged on a piece of mahjong (an one inch sqaured piece of plastic) having a guy pushing against him? i am sure he has a steady stance. i am not sure if you know true wing chun? i don't claim to be an expert at all, yes i am in the siu lim tao leve, but that has nothing to do with the fact that He is apparently one of the biggest names in wing chun.

  • Wing chun is about doing whatever you can as long as you have the greatest power, fastest speed, the most direct hit, and the steadiest stance. i really don't see whats wrong with shifting his stance. i can assure u that when he shifts his stance, he does it for a purpose.

  • training the dummy, amoungst other things, is about accuracy of placement. The dummy is designed in such a way that every technique in the form teaches you to be bang on with every line taken to the dummy. If your feet are not in the right place then neither are your hands. Do you see?

  • Please do not be disrespectful, Master Chu is one of the direct disciples of Legendary Yip Man!

  • Ok, fine, but for sure, Master Chu is not "simply not that good" and he is not a fraud.

  • Okay whatever, I never said he was. Sorry if it came across in that manner.

    Peace, keep rolling!

  • its just a demo so he has to go slow

  • Disrespectful little roach

  • I'll second that.

  • there are very few who finished the entire curriculum directly from yip man. this man, wong shun leung and ho kam ming are of that stature. much respect always to chu shong tin and his TRUE wing chun!

  • Perhaps if you spent more time and energy on studying Wing Chun and less on fast "wanking off" you might understand TST is the real deal and you could actually learn something from him to be a better fighter.

  • You know it would have been better to have let people THINK you were ignorant than type that and remove all doubt.

Thanks for lettingus know how muchyou practice wa**ing though...

  • He is very good & have more solid moves than

the others I've seen. Although he is older now, he can still do it good! And his moves,

blocks & hits are not forced. That's what WC

should be! Watch Master Yip Man also does very

good even at his 90's. His student Mr. Lee also does very good WC, flawless & with such

accuracy, even when he adds speed to his techniques. My respect to all ! I bow to you!

Cheers! And thanks for sharing this video! :)

  • fare dues flexability helps and being like water. but if you have no control or you technique is bad then the movement will have no effect. dna bout being like a cameleon. lol.

  • he was my first SiGung

  • Cool vid, cheers...

  • I don't wanna come across as stupid but what does the wooden dummy train?

  • Good question! The dummy teaches angles and position.

  • It also provides resistance to muscles and posture, allowing a Wing Chun practitioner to feel flaws in their technique.

  • when ya move around some one ya track on to them also its doing several things from the basics togeather in one eg steping to the side+kicking+gideing their strike away with one arm and attacking with the outher..and lots more!

  • And according to Sigung Tsui, a certain type of force; as in how to contact whilst remaining relaxed, which if done properly, allows the equal and opposite reaction force to be absorbed into the joints, or better yet, to the floor through ones stance and rebounded back through to the target. This allows for incredible amounts of power to be achieved. :D

  • That guy is my hero! His timing is absolutly flawless! where do i buy one of thoes?

  • he is very rythmic and is in time with the music in the background...

  • Hey Jackass'

This old man happens to be the Great Grand Master of the IWCA. The most knowledgeable and experienced person of the true lineage of Wing Chun today. Even at his age today,he is classed as an untouchable, invincible fighter. The most senior student of the late Grandmaster Yip Man. His techniques are THE most honed and perfected in the world!

  • Well you need to think about what you are saying in my opinion. There is no such thing as an "invincible fighter". And may i repeat myself I WAS NOT CRITICISING, I STUDY WING CHUN. Good Grief.

  • Heyhey.. fighting/defencing is not about perfect techniques.. its about be water.. You have to be flexible and be like a cameleon..

  • actually hes head of the WingTsun branch now and like i dnt c how u could say a person such as chu shong tin is sloppy and stuff since he is head of the branch and to many as sigung.

  • I wasnt criticizing the art, ive been studying it for over 2 years f.y.i. Every martial art has its flaw.

  • simply awesome because its in slow motion and the old man is practicing. try this on a real person internal bleeding and broken nerve, muscle, and bone tissue follow. thank you whoever posted this 10 props or 5 stars good job

  • People shoudnt critize this video. Theres no point saying that the techniques are sloppy etc. The man is old, so you cant expect him to move like a 20year old. And not everything is external when it comes to the movements. Theres a lot more to each movement than just a hit.

  • dont worry this man can look after himself and can take on anyone even using only a quarter of his strength. trust me thats why he is one of the kings of wing chun. a great man and a legend. my sifu trained with him... hehehe and exchanged techniques and ideas when he was in london. these ppol never stop learning n improving their wing chun n genuine. thanx to him n other ppol like him he/they still shares his/their knowledge with us and keeps wing chun alive n kicking after all these years.

  • I know this comment is a year after you posted, but I agree with you nirpal24, many people criticize movement, but there really is no way to know how much someone else knows unless you've touched hands with them, I believe Master Tsui Shun Tin is working more at an internal level now.

  • you know how i call this dude? OLD DIRTY BASTARD!!

  • ?? wat the....

  • WTF???

  • Theres too many "dirty" techniques in wing chun for it to be useful in mma competition. Maybe one day mma will allow eye, throat and groin attacks, arm breaks and elbows to the spine etc and wing chun guys can get stuck right in lol

  • Are you saying it is impossible for wing chun to control itself? Can it not subdue an opponet without breaking limbs and gouging eyes. sarcasm: "when I do wing chun sparring, I always go for the eye gouge!?" Wing chun people just don't train very hard and don't use enough common sense IMHO.

  • Here we go with that. In Wing Chun or in any other martial art there are no such thing as "Dirty" Techniques as these arts were designed for self defense. Besides there is no such thing as a fair fight when it comes down to being on the street as you will do whatever is necessary to make it out alive when the fight or flight response kicks in. Its about surviving and going home to fight another day. So before you criticize an art realize "M.M.A." martial artists have major flaws as well.

  • i think racistmonkey has a point there

not any wc can beat a mma champ

    i know i couldnt

  • Tony Jaa.

  • For any practioners, do you think there's an age limit on when to start studying this style? I've been interested in it for many years but never had the opportunity. It looks, actually, very relaxing and graceful if that makes sense.

  • I would say that this particular lineage demands a more developed mind to be able to properly understand some of the key concepts. However there would be no harm in starting at an earlier age to increase exposure.

  • It is one of the styles that's a bit more physical than say, Tai Chi, but I think anyone could start studying Wing Chun regardless of age. Obviously the younger the better but there are no high kicks or flips so really its open to anyone.

  • To warlordog1: No age limit to study this. I entered a WC club once & the ppl there varies

in ages. There's women, young girls, boys & older guys! And they're very good. The benefit

of having a wing chun dummy is a big plus, but

it's not cheap. For me the exercise alone is

what I look for, coz to go to a WC is not cheap either. Cheers!

  • hahaha ur funny in a way but only speak the truth... i like that... honest and truthful..

on the other hand wing chun is not for keeping fit its not so much exercise as well though it can be when training intensively. its about fighting technique and generation of power turning defence to attack, small circle big circle or no circle, hard n soft energy, not 4geting structure and so on... and its fun theres always something new to learn always exciting... gud luck n carry on d gud work...

  • To anyone who thinks this practitioner is performing the wooden dummy form poorly UNDERSTAND THIS.

-in this lineage of wing chun, the wooden dummy forms greatest benifit is to teach you to maintain a constant force and move around it. this sigung is doing an excellent job of this.

  • hey reiceist (very curious name by the way) your completely worng. #1 youve never fought a wing chun practitioner in any tournanment or competition because that just does'nt happen, and if it did he would be limited by not wanting to seriously cripple you. #2any close to or at master level would clearly dominate any ufc fighter for the sole reason that although personal mastery and ability does factor in, the style happens to matter the most when you have someone at a certain level of that style

  • Appreciate his basic fundamental techniques on the wooden dummy...ideal for those beginning Wing Chun to gain a basis for understanding it.

    Thanx!

  • yea

  • Ditto, Dude!

    Hey man, what's up?

    You practice?

  • Just thought I'd mention that Martial arts are not the same thing as bulldozing someone. If your goal is to compete then bulldozing is a valid way to go, because it is likely to get you where you want to go. I just don't think everyone has that goal and so that technique isn't for everyone. I know some people who pratice a hard form of Karate and honestly I'm affraid of them, but that style also atracts a certain type of person, and honestly most of them after 20 years of doing it are invalids.

  • All you ignorant douchebags should shut your mouths stop criticizing and have some respect your criticism just makes you appear weak as a human being so do yourselves the favor.

  • To all WC practioners: I don't think practioners of other systems will ever understand why we chose WC. I can care less if a grappler thinks he's going to put me in an armbar. I just go on about my business and hope I never have to use my WC on anyone. Let them think they practice the "best" art. Let's just hope they don't ever get in an altercation with multiple attackers. :0). WC

  • reciestmonkey: Congrats on your 15 yrs of hard style training. I suspect you are good. However, your statement of "bulldozing" through Kung Fu fighters makes me think you have never fought a good WCKF fighter who could Lap Sau you out of your socks as you come in hard and stike you with multiple simultaneous blows/kicks to MULTIPLE vital targets with controlled WCKF type energy/power in pure Wing Chun form. Its true about quality of the training and fighter no generalizations.

  • may i add also... that any master/teacher of most kung fu style (or their student) be it crane, tiger, eagle or shaolin can take out the ufc or mma champion anytime n anywhere... but they DON'T. its not in their manual/syllabus to hurt anyone, but they can ONLY when THEY HAVE TO. if they wish they can enter the competition but again its not their learning. theirs is different, they dont have to prove themselves to anyone . respect to every1 n have fun training watever style/art you do.

  • thats total bullshit. first off, its not the style but the fighter.

second, Ive practiced hard style karate for 15 yrs, and never lost to any kung fu fighter in any tournament, sparring, or (yes once) actual fight. I just bulldozed through them. why? probably becuase most american teachers dont train traditionally, nor as brutal as the old Shaolin Monks. Now, those guys are bad to the bone, but to say ANY teacher or student could beat an MMA fighter? that is true ignorance at its finest.

  • hahaha....in your dreams... hahahaha where you get your information from?... ur a__hole... no wonder why it stinks so bad.

  • What a complex and intelligent response. Boy I bet your a highly respected Kung Fu master, I can see that by the way you support your opinions. Great job!

  • ufc or mma fighters are great athletes n in great shape and they make millions. but in reality they can not kick n they can not punch. they use brute force or grapple. though they have grappling techniques they dont have striking/blocking or fighting techniques at all. also its brutal n it should be banned but somebody has to make a living n thats what they do. (not a true fighter, a true fighter only fight when his life is in danger or somebody else).

  • People who talk about old men fighting against those UFC loosers are idiots.

  • I was reluctant to make any comment but seeing how disrespectful some youngster here are to the older generation I have to say this: To be able to live till 80 odd he is already a winner! ANd to compare against a UFC fighter in his prime to an elderly guy i his 80's in a fight is already a compliment! Think first before you speak ill of a person!

  • Respect is one thing... sober judgement is another thing. These fictous setups betwixt an old man and young champs are not doing any good. By the way - I am past the prime of my life too and know how it feels when the body becomes weaker.

Anyway... Motherline is a concept well known in many martial arts. In the west it is documented in old renaissance (fencing) manuals. Especially interesting for wing chun people might be the spanish way of fencing (destreza)...

  • slo240 is right... its about mother line or other words structure. if you dont have structure you dont know wing chun. you only have ur arms/limbs flapping about. it may look wing chun but its really not. find the right teacher, right syllabus and find the right structure only then you will know what real wing chun is about.

  • but he met my/our grandmaster lee shing. because of him our grandmaster met and learnt the full wing chun system from great great grandmaster yip/ip man.

  • its not about watching or reading. its about knowing and by knowing is having the right teacher and right tuition. tlt may look a bit different fr one i was taught but on a whole similar. how he does it have its own merits and reasons and i would be happy to find out to know to the one i already know. i have full respect 4 the grandmaster though i never met him.

  • TWO young thugs tried to rob Grand Master Yip Man when he was in his 60's or 70's and they got fucked up. Wing Chun trains for fighting not sport. For example, if TST used 3rd form techniques he may take out the UFC guys eye. He may do a throat strike or knee strike. I am telling you don't underestimate the older WC Masters. They dont train to fight a controlled fight in a ring with a referee. Just some well deserved respect would be nice.

  • definately! they can't discount these old masters. pound for pound, master tsui is the most powerful man I have met, just a step forward (when I asked him if he really wanna do me in, what would he do) and i was sent flying back, top first, and 2 others had to catch me..

  • there's a saying "iron body, glass head" meaning no matter how much you train your body, your head can never be trained. therefore alot of martial artist don't train to get hit(altho some do). Master Tsui has founght in his younger days, not losing a bout.

  • okie..enuf debates,i personally think Master Tsui can't defeat a UFC guy, why? cuz he's 75, and is like every old person, have illness, altho he is very very skilled in WC.The UFC guy trains everyday to take hits, altho punch for punch,i believe master tsui can punch harder than the UFC guys,

  • you honestly think anyone could stand up after being hit by sigung choi?

ie sigung try actually trying to knock someone out?
