Masterpice, i love it since it was born, ---sorry since ...... i was born---. i cant say that i like Dylans version better. both has something speacial on there way. Peace and thanks, Christopher
Also absolut das Thema verfehlt...
is there also a version of this song from the rolling stones? or did i just always think it was them? but the one i know sounds a bit different from this one
When I first heard this it was a blank cassette tape.
On the tape was handwritten "Verdnon fleece" Anyway I heard this song and loved. I showed it to my dad and he said it sounds like Mick Jagger but he wasnt sure.
So, I thought it was Mick Jagger singing over a re-mix of Stand by Me.
Took awhile to find out who it was, the internet wasn´t as common then.
Van Morrison in his early years. Today he is as good as he was before. Perhaps now he is better. Anyway. He is one of the best artist in the world. Greetings from Germany
He sounds nothing like Jagger, he is too distinctive and became even more so as he matured. Being Irish I don't understand how you English don't get Van as he's played enough in your pubs!! Also we know it was written by Dylan.
It says in the title the recording is by Them, which featured Van Morrison. He did sound a little like Jagger back in the 60's and 70's. By the way, the song was written by Bob Dylan.
kids! kids! i literally thought Van? Mick? Van? mick? the whole first time i heard this. the band members were switchin up. i honestly think it really was the two in one recording....messing with our brains! I should look up and ask. Also...please tell me you recognize the beginning that Beck ripped off on 'JackAss'?
This is my favorite version of this song.. people must have been stoned out of their minds to tolerate Dylan's version, because his voice makes me want to puke. lol

amazing song. and it sound "jaggerish". but I still have to disagree on THE GREATEST part. very much the stones ripped everything from the original rhythm and blues greats, messed it up, and by messing it up created their new, own, great sound by messing it up. but how they become small when they meet the original can be seen here: youtube.com/watch?v=ClgtoM2RwQY hahhaha :)
