Why does Batman Forever have a 'Hold On' screen? I only played the SNES version, so I don't know if Genesis had the same deal. Whats the point? Its on a cartridge, not a disk, which obviously needs a load time. What does it need to load?
@ZappaFan101 Probably a gimmick to try to say the graphics are so good that they have to be loaded. Since the front cover basically said "best graphics ever"
Ah don't think dis game sucks. Dis game is coo', but hawd. Dis game remawnds me ah da Splinter cell games. Batman remawnds me ah Sam fisher (Splinter Cell) becuz he uses his high tech gadgets to defeat his enemies, just like Sam Fisher.
Ah one dis game fo' mah Supuh Nintendo, but i left it in New York, becuz muh Aunt named Jiggs wouldn't give it back to me because she sez dat ah own too much video games.
1:37 when I was a kid I passed this part like 2 times by accident, fucking "select toward direction". more than 10 years later I still remember that fucking unexplicit manual...
For Genesis for going up the hole, it took forever for me to find out how. It's b + c, and than press up right after you press those. For going down the hole, I was told Down Down, and some other stuff, but it wasn't working. So, I just press Down + A + B + C. Yes, that's every button, but Select but eventually he went down the hole. Yes, this game is flawed but to me their are more awful games out there.
Yes, to me the game has Batman looking like a Mortal Kombat person, and so do the villians, but I think the problem with this game first off is the first level, and and the controls. After level 1, to me at least the game gets better. Yes, it's still Mortal Kombat sytle type of stuff, but there is less going into holes, and the figuring of how to go up.
I wouldnt quite call it a mortal kombat ripoff. For the simple fact its not like a 2D fighter that you stay in one stage and stuck in it until the next fight. There are no fatalities, and its more of a sidescrolling, shitty beat 'em up then MK. It does control like MK I guess but I could never get any of the special shit to work.
@ravenrage07 It's like they looked at MK and were like. "THAT'S the fighting system we want in our new batman game but fuck the four main buttons we're focusing on L, R, Select and the D-pad". The stupidity of the programmers who made this is astounding. It's amazing they even thought this would sell.
I always wondered this...

how are the genesis controls more broken? If you use the 6-button controller, i don't see how it's different from the snes

@highwaysonyfan87 Your right, but back in the day it was kinda bullshit to have to go buy a new controller just to play the game properly.

This game is in my top 5 worst games of all time. If you actually had infinite continues it would have at least had something redeeming.

"I'll say it once, and I'll say it again" ... I love being a Turtle. That's from a Turtle movie.
