so is the song called gift of a thistle just because she gives him a thistle then he her i thought it was called murrans burial n just the theme because i got the cds n they say that so im confused
Yeah, what you said about Hinnigan is on the money. I THINK he played this on a quena -- I could be wrong -- and I think he played the Titanic theme "Hymn to the Sea" on a Chieftain Bnat, though.
This is awesome. You are playing great. First time I learn that "Low Whistle". I know the song very well. But I did not know what it was played with. Thanks...
"... a bit too much reverb" - I know. Low whistle I got for polish whistle maker three months ago. I play on tin whistle one year and recorder 8 years. I adore these instruments.Low whistle has specific sound. And someone got me a question: who played in Titanic, Braveheart whistles? The answer is Tony Hinnigan for me is the best whistle (movie) player.
Super. Jedna z najlepszych melodii z Walecznego Serca. :D

sounds like you used delay instead of reverb, would've been better with reverb.

the C and F are sharp or natural?
LinkTinWhistler 3 years ago
C & F notes are natural - I wrote this sheet when I listened Braveheart soundtrack and in my opinion is correct
michal18c 3 years ago
@michal18c do you play B# to get a C natural? (respectively E# for an F)

sorry i`m a beginner...
what does it means C2 E2 etc.
please?
TriskelionFactory 3 years ago
C2 E2 etc. means that note must be played on the second octave
michal18c 3 years ago 2
This not the common usage.
C2 means C during twice the time. For high notes, use lowercase : c e
for lower notes, use , : C, E, for very high notes, use ' : c' e'.
ABC notation has been standardized for human and computer usage ...

This is lovely. Do you happen to have the notes you used?
