  • @extremehunter1996

    God you're retarded.

  • Can any body tell me which company makes the longest bladed otf knife and how long it is?

  • @mickeyl01

Microtech makes the Giant Halo. It's expensive as hell and is more a sword than a knife. Just search ''giant halo firing'' on youtube to get an idea of the size.

  • Are you stil having trouble with the button?

  • This might be a stupid question, but can someone please explain the fascination with OTF knives? Other than having one for collecting purposes, they kind of seem like useless, extremely expensive toys to me. At least as far as a defensive or combat weapon. I hardly ever need to carry a knife, but when I do, I strap a cheap-ass, fixed blade Buck Nighthawk to my side.

  • @PaisleySmaze I'm pretty sure I can pull it out of it's sheath just as fast as someone can whip an OTF knife out of their pocket or unclip it from their belt. And when I do....TA-DA!!!....there's no need to push a button, the damn blade is already there. And it's 6 1/2" long and only cost $80. And for the exact same reasons, I also don't understand why law enforcement has such a problem with OTF's, but not fixed baldes. Am I missing something? It makes absolutely no sense to me what-so-ever.

  • @PaisleySmaze i agree 110%. any OTF, switchblade, or auto knife for that matter, shouldent be illegal in my opinion. i can whip out my folder just as quick. the benchmade mini griptillian is extremely fast to open/close. which goes to show that an auto knife isnt any more special than a folder. to be quite honest i think its ridiculous that someone can carry a gun but an automatic knife is too much. i think people just need to realize that a knife is a knife. automatic or folder they both kill

  • @afrojew6969 well your arguement atleast used to be valid. now (atleast in my area) they made the carry of any knife that can be opened with one hand illegal. so yea unless you are carrying around a slipjoint, its most likely illegal.

  • @HPIracing111 i live in florida so the gun/knife laws are generally considered good. Im not sure where you live but i believe that it is just as easy to go to a walmart ant buy a cheap kitchen knife that will kill just as easily as a switchblade if not better. making switchblades (or one handed opening knives for that matter) illegal will not stop crime or killing. the people who are willing to spend 200$ plus on a switchblade, usually arent the ones to commit crimes. just my opinion though.

  • @afrojew6969 i agree with you for the most part. but basically no matter what, if you are carrying a knife you are gonna have problems if a cop searches you. over where i live unless you just came from work and ur carrying a knife that looks like it is meant to be used as a tool or something similar, they will either take it away and/or fine you because they believe you are carrying it to harm someone whether or not in self defense.

  • Do you think any gangsters give a fuck what you make illegal? Only law abiding citizens are punished by those kinds of laws.

  • @afrojew6969 No, they don't kill. I have never seen a knife or a gun walk down the street and attack someone. On the other hand an individual wielding a knife, or a gun or a fork can attack you and kill you.

The knife isn't the problem. It is our left wing nanny state government which is the problem. Next election get out and vote for a conservative.

  • @PaisleySmaze I suppose it's about ability to perform surprise attack... If you're wielding a fixed-blade knife with 4" blade it's more difficult to "palm" it and then suddenly strike.

With folding knifes and OTFs - you can easily hide the knife in your hand and then just open it just before attacking...

At least that's the reason I think stands behind those ridiculous laws :)

    regards

  • HUUUUUGE handle small ass blade lol. Thats like having HUUUUUUUGE balls but a small as dick.

  • I want it. <3

  • you wanna sell it ???

  • thats like a 6 inch knife i always carry atleast a 9 inch blade.

  • @rys1221e No you dont, stop trying to act cool, first of all 9 inches is almost a foot, and second of all a knife bigger then 3 inshes is illegal

  • @cjoIIProductionz Knives larger than 3'' are not illegal automatic knives are illegal in a lot of places and it is illegal to conceal certain sized fixed blades. But all knives over 3'' are illegal that's wrong...

  • @BuffaloWarrior7 In NY (not the city) any length knife is legal to carry, as long as it is single edged. Any officers that see you with a ridiculous knife may find it inappropriate depending on where you are, but its not illegal.

  • @spinkicker37 Here where I live blades under 5" can be concealed but over must be open carry. No bowie blades derks or concealed knives allowed in churches. No automatic blades, multi sided projectiles or balisongs can be carried or used at any time. (They are not illegal to own just to carry so if they stay at home they can't do anything about it) those are just Va state law. County/city laws over rule those.

  • @rys1221e lol 9 inch blade sure you do !!!!

  • That's not a huge knife, and I can tell you right now no one in the military is carrying that into combat. If you get into a hand to hand fight with someone and your spring mechanism breaks or malfunctions you'd be screwed. I'd much rather reach for my combat knife, stab and twist. No malfunction there.

  • Kewel

  • auto knife! = switchblade :)

    nice knife

  • better hope that thing doesn't go off in your pocket

  • even if it goes off in your pocket, the spring isn't strong enough cause the blade to go into you.

  • They don't have enough force to cut through your trouser pocket so it's no biggy really.

  • rlly nice knife, do u know where i could get either a cheap microtech or a good affordable knife?

  • Cheap Microtech? That is a oxymoron.

  • @Outdrawn Jumbo Shrimp.

  • Define 'cheap'? You can get used Microtech side openers for under $200. Out the fronts will start at $200 and usually be more like $325+.

That's what you have to pay for a decent OTF really. For side opening autos, Benchmades and Protechs can be had in the mid to high $100 range.

If you want sub $100, forget autos, just normal folding knives. Look at Spyderco and Benchmade.

  • ill save up for one, after all im only 14 so when im older ill get one, i just love the look and feel of them... great quality too

  • how well locked in are these things? if you stabb a piece of wood hard enough would the blade break into the base?

  • EJACULATION

  • This is the same Joker knife from the Dark Knight. With a black handle obviously.

  • @jxiiefeks No. That knife is a Cupid. A Combat Troodon isn't even close to a Cupid. The Cupid is a single action, this is a double. The Cupid is also a button deployment, not a slide deployment.

  • where did u get it

  • description...

  • How is the opening and closing force of that knife?

and what's the little metal nub for on the opposite end??

  • its a glass breaker and it opens and closes fast but its not very strong.. if u had it in your pocket and it accidentally deployed it wouldn't open the whole way

  • Oh, I thought so, thanks!

  • The nub is a tungsten-carbide glass breaker.

As far as opening power, it's not as strong as the regular Troodon, but as far as OTF switchblades go, Microtechs are some of the strongest firing out there. They're industry leader for a reason.

  • its not a big kick, but its strong

the metal nub is a glass breaker

  • windownskull nub

  • ill bet that was a pretty penny.....

  • Get a manual sweep blade sucker or else your a fool in the steets!

  • Junk a manual sweep blade will save your life. I have these just a toy.

  • Buy a paragon tweek the springs and punture beer cans. Springs can be bought paragon is half the price with S30v steel and will not shatter against walls or bone in fighting mode. Trust me he he poot.

  • That's A hot knife.

  • that is so fucking cool. what's the blade length on that?

  • Huge handle, that is.

  • no there not illegal in all states

  • yeah they are... unless they're smaller than 2 inches, then they're illegal everywhere xept california

  • and we care why???

  • It's much larger than most knives. Maybe he is just use to knives on a smaller scale.

  • What do you mean huge, your thumb is the size of the blade.

  • Now THATs a nice knife! Sounds good and looks good. MT also uses high quality materials for the knives.

    Regards,

    Julian

  • i so want a microtech knife

  • That is a sweet knife.

  • thats not huge...but is 125 % Microtech Troodon 119-10 Red

  • thats not huge

  • Yes,I think this knife is now the best of world.

  • The blade isnt all that large/long but these are the best knives made hands down!
