I got this game two days ago. It's awesome! I can't believe people still play the FIRST Rainbow Six Vegas online. The single player is so damn challenging and at times frustratingly difficult but I love it! Can't wait to finish this and then play Vegas 2! :D

I really really enjoyed this game. It's not like other mindless run and gun first person shooters. You actually have to use tactics instead of just busting in the room shooting everything up like a terminator.

Only the console versions of RSV2 look better than RSV1. The PC version of RSV1 supports texture resolutions up to and beyond 4096 x 4096, whereas the console versions can only do 1024 x 1024, (most of the time that's not even the case, it's usually only 1024 x 1024 for short distance meshes and textures)

RSV2 also had very few shaders which gives RSV2 a very bland look. Normal / bump mapping is also very minimal, whereas it was abundant in RSV1 and dynamic shadows were almost EVERYWHERE.

When this demo was released, I was so hyped up about the whole OPA thing and the major overhaul of the teammate AI. I never had a 360 and it took me a while until I got a PS3 so R6V2 was the only game I experienced playing. While I thought the game was pretty awesome at first, I eventually became disappointed with the story mode. The team AI is great and the OPA stuff really promotes creativity but there's just not enough of those during the course of the game.

In fact, more than 60% of the entire campaign consist mainly of bland and repetitive stop-and-go shoot outs inside huge corridors. The beginning had such a great start but all that 'Tactical Room Clearing' moments that this game clearly boasts about slowly petered out as the game went on. Fortunately, the very last mission had a return to form with some extreme CQB moments.

In short: I liked the game but it could've been better.
