It is nice to know people out there are doing things to raise awareness of how great this breed is. I am very disheartened that this breed gets such a bad name & that they are banned in some areas. Th stigma is so bad that even in areas where they are not banned you have people who are so prejudice against them they may as well be banned. Many HOAs or apartment complexes or w/e will not allow them in some places & it's so sad.

States shouldn't 'ban' these beautiful dogs. They should take on a task like this. Proper socializing and training will help ANY dog from becoming aggressive and ill mannered. I'm just glad that my state hasn't forced heavy or strict laws on these dogs and allow them to be adoptable at animal shelters/humane societies.

Awesome program! I'm going to see if we can start something similar here in Philly. The thing that amazes me is that people think that fighting dogs makes them tough when training dogs makes you a thousand times tougher than throwing them in a pit to kill each other. Particullarly the blue one(s)... these are not TRUE AMERICAN PIT BULL TERRIERS. Read some history on APBT's and you will see, very interesting.

i say this with as much respect as possible...but color doesnt matter when it comes to whether an apbt is a full blooded dog or not. blue is actually a color excepted even in show dogs. there are actually no color standards for the breed at all. im not trying to be arrogant my family has raised and shown "pits" and dobermans my whole life.

Pit Bull is a generic term composed of American Staff., American Pit Bull Terrier, and American Bully (new breed, Dave Wilson). So technically, these are pit bulls. I presume you meant APBTs. While I prefer the more athletic APBT myself, appreciate what the man is doing - he's helping people train their dogs. PBs receive heavy media and public scrutiny, so any well-trained PB is actually a good thing for us owners. Lastly, nobody likes a breed snob.
