  • Notice in 7:25 he says there was no immersions in Judaism! This is the complete opposite to the truth. Not only do you not gave to go far to find where in the bible it mentions immersion (eg Lev 15), but in many places in the Talmud it describes the requirements of a full immersion for purification and repentance (eg Shabbat 121a). What John did and was proclaiming was nothing new, but very good.
