Pripyat (not so abandoned) part 2

In all seriousness, I hear Pripyat is an eerie place to visit at times...to see a city that used to house so many, now virtually a ghost town still littered here and there with reminders of the Soviet era.

Are certain "hot spots" (radioactive areas) in Pripyat known and marked, or do you constantly have to be checking your geiger counter in the area? (Though I would assume you want to keep a geiger counter in that area handy regardless).

@liamailiam As that nonce didnt bother telling you what it is in more sensible terms, it is a game series that is only on PC but is based in Pripyat in the future after another explosion at the Chernoble plant and you have to fight mutants. To be honest it is ok but is far from the best game series ever as that would have to go to either Elder Scrolls or GTA.

I also knew that the swimming pool was used till 1996. Even the plant was used after the disaster. The military stayd in the citiy after the disaster but they must have worn protective suits, dont they? Can you imagine them going swimming after work? They put down the scafanders and jump into the water that function as neutron slower and enhaces radiation???? WHO THE HELL USED THE SWIMMINGPOOL TILL 1996???????

I think it´s possible that there was no public traffic in the Swimming Pool, just for the soldiers or workers there. Maybe they just cleaned themselves after work there... I have no idea...

You cannot live in Pripyat. Some places are still full of radioactive dust, so if you would want to live in there, you would need a gas mask and maybe even a dress protecting against radioactive shit and so on...

Some of them got balls to live there, I know that they had to leave due to military forcing them to and they had no place to live but only way... Was to live there, it must have really suck to be the only one living in a ghost city.

If I´m correct, thats the Laundry Building. It´s still in use, and no one knows why.... just like the Jupiter Factory near Pripyat, which was used by an organization calles "Spez Atom". Why? No one knows. Even the Swimming Pool in Pripyat was used until 1996.

IMO there are A LOT of mysteries going on in that so called abandoned city....
