This is really awesome. It helps appreciate a video more to know how it was made. The live action shot looks especially good! My only gripe is that the cracks on the camera at the end of that were not wholly convincing.

I'm guessing you typically use nuke for composting because you keep referring to effects as nodes.

I'm not sure it's the safest idea, and I'm not sure how she got to Earth without a portal, but if it works, nothing else matters.
