What you fail to recognize is that most parents are good and love their children, and their children love them back. They may need money or help (which they never get from CPS), but they still love their children. Foster workers, on the other hand, rarely love the children. Most are in it for the money, or worse.

Some one please help me. My 4 children have been the victim of this. My oldest came home when he turned 18 and verified everything. Is there anyone (lawyer, legal advisior, etc) in North Carolina who deals with this type of case? He even made a report about his siblings, But CPS refuses to investigate. What do I do? I worked with battered women for years in a program and a lot of them had open cases with CPS and the social workers would try to find any reason to take children from the home. PlatoJohnson, I DID flee the country with my son who was kidnapped by CPS in 1999. We escaped to Canada from California, but the FBI apprehended us in Canada and returned my son to the abusive foster home. I got charged with kidnapping and "fleeing the USA to avoid prosecution." However, when I turned myself in two years later, the FBI dropped all charges after I showed them the passports I had, etc. But my son is STILL a prisoner in foster care in California.

@PlatoJohnson There are some parents that have had their children removed for legit reasons. I'm not arguing that. I work with families that have open cases with CPS. I had a client lose her children because the boyfriend was abusive to her. There was no abuse to the children. My job helped this woman find housing and a job to get away from the abuser, but CPS removed the children while they investigated her. They lied about so many things. Children need protection,not seperation.
Thats horrible, but someone has to help them in some way, it isn't just them, and oftentimes, words can be twisted very easily to twist a story, or not enough words come out properly. like if one word is missing or the way it is said is missing, it messes up the whole case. I have seen some kids from foster care go home, so I dont think it is a 100 % thing.

Too often, the courts use the length of time that the kids have spent in foster care against the parents, eg. saying that the child has formed a bond with the foster parents and therefore shouldn't be returned to the bio parents.

@willastro06 You social workers don't try to reunify families. You social workers divide families and take innocent children from their homes. I understand the child being taken if the parents are physically abusive, doing drugs in the home, or not providing proper food, clothing and shelter for the children. But some workers are like puppets for their supervisers. I know a lot of parents that were lied on in court by social workers because the workers make up shit to cover their own asses.
Family service could be avoided altogether if humans who want to become "parents" did their parenting. Some one please help me. My 4 children have been the victim of this. My oldest came home when he turned 18 and verified everything. Is there anyone (lawyer, legal advisior, etc) in North Carolina who deals with this type of case? He even made a report about his siblings, But CPS refuses to investigate. What do I do? I worked with battered women for years in a program and a lot of them had open cases with CPS and the social workers would try to find any reason to take children from the home. They get a lot of money from the state for every child they put into the system. If you have either no trespassing signs or fences at all entrances to your property they cannot even legally set foot on your land without a warrant. Unless they already have enough evidence for a warrant, you can change your phone number, keep it unlisted, and put up no trespassing signs.

I have to say that I don't really know what to think. It seems there are many children being removed from parents but not many people posting real evidence that the children should not have been removed. I assume they did it in court.
I have heard the postings that say that the social workers, judges, lawyers, right on up to the federal government is corrupt and kidnappers.
I never heard anyone say anything about what we should do about kids that are abused, raped, starved, freezing, etc.

Actually, I'm a student. (I'm sure you will attack) if I were a social worker as you accuse, I still would have the same question. What do you do about the kids?
If you arrest the parents, you still have to do something with the kids.
But as you say, these "kidnappings" are happening with the help of the cops. So I still don't see how you improve anything. Sounds like the corruption you describe is federal and they pay states to do these abductions. I'm not attacking, I'm asking.

When you sentence someone to what is the equivalent of the death penalty (ripping their children from them), you'd better have some evidence that they are guilty, instead of expecting them to have proof they are innocent. PlatoJohnson, I DID flee the country with my son who was kidnapped by CPS in 1999. We escaped to Canada from California, but the FBI apprehended us in Canada and returned my son to the abusive foster home. I got charged with kidnapping and "fleeing the USA to avoid prosecution." However, when I turned myself in two years later, the FBI dropped all charges after I showed them the passports I had, etc. But my son is STILL a prisoner in foster care in California.

@PlatoJohnson There are some parents that have had their children removed for legit reasons. I'm not arguing that. I work with families that have open cases with CPS. I had a client lose her children because the boyfriend was abusive to her. There was no abuse to the children. My job helped this woman find housing and a job to get away from the abuser, but CPS removed the children while they investigated her. They lied about so many things. Children need protection,not seperation.

Thats horrible, but someone has to help them in some way, it isn't just them, and oftentimes, words can be twisted very easily to twist a story, or not enough words come out properly. like if one word is missing or the way it is said is missing, it messes up the whole case. Too often, the courts use the length of time that the kids have spent in foster care against the parents, eg. saying that the child has formed a bond with the foster parents and therefore shouldn't be returned to the bio parents.

The government admits that CPS causes more abuse (i.e., in foster care) than parents do. Therefore, if you abolished CPS today, the rate of child abuse would drop. It is a tough job. Everyday I fight against the buearcracy of this system that is failing because of the restrictions and demands placed on us. But we still try to keep families together and children safe.

We merely carrying orders from the courts at same time advocate to keep families together and reunify families. @willastro06 You social workers don't try to reunify families. You social workers divide families and take innocent children from their homes. I understand the child being taken if the parents are physically abusive, doing drugs in the home, or not providing proper food, clothing and shelter for the children. But some workers are like puppets for their supervisers. I know a lot of parents that were lied on in court by social workers because the workers make up shit to cover their own asses.

Family service could be avoided altogether if humans who want to become "parents" did their parenting. We have a rsh of people who just are just plain apathetic about their responsibility in child rearing and developement. Less ignorant parents = less asscociation with these decrepited agencies.
