We got our reservation about a month in advance but there were open roomettes on portions of the route.

How long do the roomettes usually have vacancy? The wife and I are planning a trip from Atlanta to Boston in early November (well before holidays) and probably won't be ordering for a month or so.

Thanks - hope you enjoy your trip. When we were thinking about taking the train I couldn't find any videos that showed the inside (other than the roomette). I figured someone else might find this helpful down the road - glad you liked it.

LOVED IT!! I'm taking the Empire Builder in August of this summer to Chicago, I got the roomette, then transfering to The missouri River Runner to Sedalia, MO in Business class. I never had the room before so this will be my first time. I Liked your video, crisp, clear, and you gave me an insight on what to look for! BRAVO! Post more! :)
