Organized emotion, simplicity... Truely wrods of wisdom. Everytime I hear her I'm always stunned how accurate but poetic her interpretation of things is.
She was more than ballet for me, a fountain of inspiration, she is and will be...
@EVZYL - Hello, I saw the great Peter Breuer dance the greatest performance of Swan Lake Cynthia Gregory ever danced. He was at ABT for only one season, and he was so good, so handsome, virile, and tehcnically superb. Cynthia absolutely loved him.
Beautiful!! What she says here supplements most wonderfully what she wrote in her 1979 autobiography, a fine book chock-full of great photographs. My good opinion of this fine, intelligent artist continues to grow.
@Qbendanny - Homerun. Perfect comment. Lika and I were there that historic night at the MET. Natasha's glory that night was ruined by a corps caliber dancer she took as her new Romeo and decided to turn him into a principal. This imbecile with the grace and talent of boiled cabbage named Kevin McKenzie rewarded her by performing the last scene in the crypt with his practice leg warmers. A Bronx ZOO Chimpanzee with slippers would have done better. That is his legacy in ballet. He is dir.@ ABT.
@Leonnidik If you want to see your next birthday, do not give the chimpanzee your address or he and his gorilla friends will make boiled cabbage of you.
@russianballetvideo - *Chito* knows me only too well, and even at 78 I could take him down with one punch. He deserved more than a punch that night. His cousin *Baboon* at Kirov is worse.
@russianballetvideo - He ruined the entire performance. Natasha lost lots of $. She produced it. They couldn't sell the video. I remember her pain at the curtain calls, we were seated in the 5th row in the orchestra. I remember there was a fan who went crazy yelling profanity at him at the bows. Danny long time ago told me it was her #1 fan, a Cuban named Ramon who worshipped her. Security dragged him out and the police was called. The torrent of profanity at *Chito* was right on.
@Leonnidik - Thanks for remembering *Ramon*, he adored her and defended her honor after a performance of Giselle, Ramon overheard a man say that Natasha was ugly and confronted him and demanded an apology, the unwise man *dismissed him and shooed him* Ramon punched him in the face. There was nothing I could do, the police came and broke up the fight and asked Ramon why he beat the man, Ramon answered: "He insulted my ballerina". The look on police faces!! LOL! Don't mess with a fans ballerina!
