DarkMan won the National Championship Tournament which was sponsored by Microsoft and G4, and is considered by many as the "first true pro". Killer N taking place over the Ogres can be debated, but I personally choose to rate him higher.

Zyos and DarkMan placed first in bigger and earlier tournaments than the Ogres. If you want to talk doubles though, I do agree the Ogres were solid.

Zyos was only the best 1v1 player, but he practiced that the most. Hell, team FFA joined combining the 4 best players outside of the Ogres in order to take them down. That's how good the Ogres were. Point is, The Ogres were the best at the peak of CE.
