pistols and shotguns are far better for personal and home protection as they are short range weapons. a rifle is for long range (i.e. hunting, target shooting)

shotguns have limited capacity and pistols have limited power. a rifle (like ar15) has great capacity and good power. my weapon of choice for home defense is a rifle. faster reloads than a shotgun too.

I think a "well regulated militia" should just mean that to own a firearm, you should have to be a member of an organization like Civil Air Patrol, a local "state defense force" or another government approved organization that could either lightly regulate the use of firearms and/or teach the proper use of said firearms...making them completely legal does allow them to get into the hands of criminals but also good, intelligent and safe people...taking them away just takes away a damn good hobby

A militia is basically just a segment of the population that can be pressed into performing tasks for the community good in a time of national emergency. Hence, if you are healthy and have all your extremities, you're the militia!

it is very rare that someone commits a crime (robbey, or robbery/homicide) with a gun that is registered to them the gun is usually stolen from someone the "light regulations" wouldn't allow to carry it.

I live in Massachusetts. I have a whack job neighbor who makes me wonder about my safety. I called the police to come over and see about 100 screws thrown all over my drive way,bye this guy, and to witness this guys behavior and they refuse to come.There is a lot more about this but I will save you that. lets just say I really am concerned for my safety. I cannot get an FID card because I broke into a house when I was 15. How could I go about fighting this?
