  • Sexy armpits :)

  • My God, you are sexy.

  • wow thanks! i love that you can do this with dry hair too! <3

  • I can't roll it up it just falls out and it isn't tight. How do you roll the hair up properly

  • Thank you for this easy style video! I always want to style my hair nicely, but don't have the time, and this video is gold! THANKS <3

  • oh shit....now i gotta find SakuraChick1997's comment -.-

  • oh shit....now i gotta find SakuraChick1997's comment -.-

  • YOUR ACCENT IS AWESOME!! you sound like a fairy godmother -^.^-

  • You have such lovely hair! Mine is way too fine and thin unfortunately so no matter how I curl it.. pin curls or curling iron.. I just get weird crimpy L shapes, haha. Though I do have good luck with hot rollers... they are just so damaging and tend to pull a ton of hairs out.

  • I was wondering if you would do a tutorial on finger waves? I love the look. No idea how to accomplish it. Keep up the great work.

  • Nice! What kind of hair brush do you have,it's really pretty..:)

  • Hey i'm thinking of doing this with a heat-resistant wig - do you think it'll work? :/

  • You are so pretty! How do you have the blonde streaks in your hair? I like it!

  • Hi! If I have bangs (I'm trying to grow them out so they're fairly long, a little beyond my nose) would I just put them in with the front curl, or should I wait and then do something different with those? Thanks :-)

  • haha you are such a likable person!!!

  • That's so funny! You say "water" like people in Pennsylvania say water! Small world for accents!

  • You are so pretty! You have a classic, Old Hollywood beauty that's just so cute!

  • Thank you for such a simple tutorial! If you've got more videos, especially if you've got ones on makeup and eyebrows. Thanks again!!!

  • That was great!!! Thank you for the tips. I'm changing careers at 40 in the states (South Carolina) and attending cosmetology school, just thumbing through hair related videos. You are a pleasure to watch, and I knew you were Australian from the get -go....thanks....

  • You look like lady gaga!

  • @7873239666 don't insult the woman.

  • Your hair is absolutely beautiful!

    Australian!? Me too. :3

  • @Aleka517 No, but thank you - I love her! :)

  • Faaaail. ur Bra is Hella showing Broo!

  • @minersbay12 That's would be because I'm only in my underwear!

  • I just watched your clip for 27 seconds. I like your music, you're pretty, and I like your voice! I have to give you a like! Have a nice day :D

  • Youre so gorgeous

  • i wanna be just like you =) beautiful and elegant

  • @missvhixie17 eat her then

  • @chalicexox i dont eat girls

  • @missvhixie17 NOT WHAT I MEANT

  • @chalicexox well i dont see anything wrong from what i said

  • I've never seen pin curls done like that before!! How cool :D I totally have to try this....just gotta find a scarf. And btw- I lovvvveeee your hair color, it is so elegant!!!

  • this works perfectly thank you so much!! I've tried pin curls before but they never created modern curls, this way does thank you!

  • Oh my gosh! This is amazing! My hair is pin straight and impossible to curl, and this worked perfectly on my first try and it lasted the whole day. Amazing! Thanks for the great video!

  • I'm in love!

  • This works really well and you're so charming! Is that accent from NZ? I wanted to say Oz but it sounds a little more kiwi-lik

  • @deathrockangel No, only Aus, people generally have a hard time picking it and am often mistaken for all sorts of European nationalities. :)

  • @cinnamonclaw It is perfectly normal and healthy not to wash your hair for a week. It makes your scalp and hair smoother and more 'moisturized'. It also makes it easier for styling. :)

  • Thanks!

  • I slept with pin curls in last night and woke up with lovely curls and no heat damage! Thanks so much, I'll be using this trick frequently!

  • Thank you so much for this! I"m a bridesmaid in a 50's style wedding and this helps ALOT!!!

  • WOW your voice is beautiful!

  • Thank you for this video! It's very helpful! <3

I'm watching your videos whilst learing for my French test...and you're distracting me, haha. ;)

  • I love doing pin curls in my hair. I did learn one very hard lesson about pin curls. Do NOT open the bobby pin with your teeth. It can be done with your fingers. Otherwise you will end up with a very expensive dental bill.

  • Say I want tight curls like Shirley Temple and i have thick layered medium length hair. Would it help if I sprayed it with hairspray before or after?

  • @PrincessAndisha You need to do lots and lots of pin curls for that. The more curls, the more volume, and only hairspray afterwards.

  • @PrincessAndisha Flexirods w/ wet or damp hair will do the trick!

  • @PrincessAndisha Ooh, I have thick layered medium length hair, and while I most certainly DID NOT want Shirley Temple curls I managed to do that last night. :D I used strips of paper for the curls, and did a lot of them, like twelve. Voila - tons of curls on the side of my head. I've brushed them out and it looks cute, but when I first pulled them out I felt like Shirley Temple for sure. So you'd just spray them and go on your merry way.

  • I have the world's most stubbornly straight hair. Curling with an iron won't work AT ALL and braiding at night leaves my hair wavy for about half an hour. I recently diacovered the secret to pincurling and it last ALL DAY and is still sorta there when I wake up te next morning. It's so fantastic!

  • Thank you so much! I can't wait to try this. You are absolutely gorgeous. <3

  • I'm really glad you've done a tutorial with long hair :)

P.S I think you look a bit like the actress Emmy Rossum :)

  • @angela69brewer Didn't your mother ever tell you "If you don't have anything nice to say don't say it"?

And I love your voice! :P

  • @angela69brewer If you already have a technique that you like, why watch - just to criticise?

Also, some of us prefer not to fry our hair.

  • Great tutorial! Thanks so much for sharing. And you're really pretty, btw. :)

  • This is my favorite method for curling hair ^_^ I like doing lots of small tight curls too and combing them out a little. But either way big or small curls it works on any kind of hair.

  • THANK YOU! I cant wait to try this.

  • whats a girl crush? obviously different than saying a crush if everyone has rushed to thumbs up it.

  • I have a question. I know you aren't a hair expert, but I have very very fair hair, that takes long to curl even with a curling iron. Is there anyway I could still achieve this look?

  • @AMillionThingsToBe I have similar hair, and what I do is use a curling iron first, and then pin those smaller curls down and leave them overnight.

  • gorgeous hair, going to try this tonight

  • I've been looking for a tutorial like this for so long, this is the best I've seen so far.

I've got naturally thin and poker straight hair so it will be interesting to see if this works. I'm going to give it a try though. Thanks for the great video!

You are gorgeous, by the way!

  • If we do the pin curls in the moring how long would you say would be long enough to get really good curls?

  • @MsGinger92 That depends on a few factors. How thick your hair is, whether it has natural curl, whether you use setting lotion... Generally I'd say you want to leave them at least 12 hours if you want them to last, and if it is for a weekly set, you'll want probably closer to 20 hours if you can. (By a weekly set, I mean to last all week without washing your hair or re-setting. This is generally what I do for a week).

  • @superkawaiimama ok Thanks very much I'll give it a try.

  • Great tutorial. I've never done pin curls before, but did it while watching your tutorial. It was really easy. I'm going to sleep with them tonight and will let you know how it comes out.

  • Thanks so much for these videos, it seems so much clearer than reading instructions. Just what I needed!

  • @SakuraChick1997 No. I'm pretty sure it was a camisole.

  • @LesIsMore1375 oh. (o.e huh)

  • @SakuraChick1997 Umm.. no. It's called a petticoat or a slip. Given most girls won't even know what these are these days.

  • @superkawaiimama All my -family- this morning watched this video (because I was ...), everyone thinks you're lovely!!!! (My brother is astonished ha ha !)

Beautiful & well dressed, we are from italy ^_^

nb: thank you for the petticoat, I have always loved it but I didn't know how to search it by english !!!

  • @superkawaiimama i love the feel of your channel. such old world glam and spice. just how i wish the world would still be. and i agree with you ... we are losing knowledge and things of culture with every passing year,

  • @SakuraChick1997 would it be ok if she made this tutorial wearing a bikini?

  • @fuchsinrot Yeah :3

  • I love your voice! You're such a mixture! You have a lovely Australian accent, but you are a hollywood beauty, you are BORN to be a model! .. I didn't exactly watch so lemme rewind.. (:

  • Lovely thanks so much. Very pretty and classy!

  • your hair is gorgeous!

  • i love this, i have to try it!

and i have to say that you are just so darling!

  • Wow, you look a lot like some old movie beautiful lady lol.

  • I don't know how these curls will turn out in my hair since it's not as thick as yours, but I'm definetely going to try! Thanks for the video!

  • This was super helpful, and you are just gorgeous :]

  • Thanks for the vid! i love the streaks in your hair, are they natural?

  • My hair doesn't typically hold a curl (when I curl it with a curling iron), and I usually have to use a ton of hairspray. Will this work without hairspray? I would like it to stay all day.

  • can you wash your hair afterward or is it better to wash beforehand?

  • @libbyloohoo94 It is better to wash the day before hand if you want to set them dry. Otherwise wash before hand, let your hair airdry till damp, then pin curl.

  • Great! Thanks!

  • awesome video!

  • you're so pretty

  • does this work on curly hair? i mean, i don't like to wash my hair every day but it looks so bad natural when i sleep on it!

  • @AnniePancake i have the same problem! mine isn't exactly curly, but it is very wavy. i rarely have a "good hair day" if it's slept on.

i am waiting ages for this vid to load. did you ever try what she does?

  • @XXXdjTyphoonXXX I have the same problem as you & AnniePancake.

The good news is that pin curls really, really work. My hair is very short now so I make lots of small curls, but what she does in the video is the same concept and should be fine too. Oh, and the pins are comfy to sleep in!

If you try it out, just be very patient. It takes some practice. :)

  • @amirahas i did :-) the first time they weren't great, but the next time i modified what candice does a bit because my hair is longer and they came out fantastic!

    superkawaiimama is the bomb!

  • thanks for that! now need someone to try this on. can you come over? :)

  • Is it better when your doing the sides of your head to make the curl go under or outward, or does it really matter? :D

  • That all depends on how you want it to sit when finished. If you are brushing it out for a smooth "page boy" look, then you really need to roll under. Otherwise if you wan tit back off the face more then roll outwards. :)

  • i have them in right now :D

thankyou lets see if it works fingers crossed :)

  • I'm experimenting with easy quick ways to style my hair. Could I do this before bed and sleep on it? I like the idea of working it out and going in the morning.

  • That is the perfect time to do it. It is comfy for sleeping in and is great in the morning. just takes a few goes to get it perfect.

  • you have the most soothing voice :D

im gonna try this tonight but my hair is really damaged and pretty frizzy it not all smooth like yours :/

  • I'll be interested to see how it works for you as mine is pretty frizzy too. I find If I brush each section thoroughly and dampen a little, it helps achieve a smooth result.

  • This is gorgeous! I don't think it will work on my hair though, because its really curly :( But I will try.x

  • you're very pretty : ]

  • this worked amazingly!

  • what awesome tips! blowdry with the scarf still on, no why didn't i think of that? :D thank you hun, you look lovely!

  • BEAUTIFUL :)

  • You are sooo beautiful......

  • This is FANTASTIC :) good work!

  • I LOVE YOUUUUUUUUUUUU! I want to keep you in my closet so you can tell me how to do my hair everyday! You're so adorable!

  • You're such a classic beauty x

  • im trying this right now

  • You look gorgeous! I love how the curls came out! I can't wait to try this, however my hair is much shorter (slightly below chin length). Should I try using smaller sections?

  • You are really beautiful =) I appreciate the video! I never learned how to do these curls. My mom used to give me rag curls but I never payed attention!

  • omg could her voice and accent be any cuter

  • @svcrain lol really

    lovely hair darling !

  • you are so beautiful!

    great video :)

  • THANK YOU! Ive been looking to see someone with long hair do pin curls because i wasnt sure it would work on me. Great video ♥♥♥♥♥

  • This is great and works well, but they all fall out of my hair very quickly - any advice on how to keep them lasting all day PLEASE? :) x x x

  • i "damp" my hair with mousse

  • You are absolutely adorable!!!

Thanks so much for this video!

  • Oh, thank you so much. I've been trying to get this look right for YEARS, ever since I started messing with my hair a lot and it lost its natural loose Veronica Lakeish wave. But I always got different instructions. I think this is pretty accurate though.

  • You are such a doll! Truly lovely. You have beautiful hair. Thanks so much for this video. I can't wait to try it out.

  • Oh my gosh, you're so lovely! This is awesome! I'm going to do this with my hair tonight before I go to sleep for sure. Thank you so much! :)

  • Fantastic, This is done easy and I Thank You

  • I tried this, but I found I had to comb-out and finger-curl my whole head. Layered hair is SO difficult to work with! Nonetheless, great video!

  • Wonderful! I think I may have a girl crush on you!

  • SO PRETTY.

Your face is gorgeous, not to mention your hair.

  • I LOVE YOU! Thanks for the tips and amazing hair syles i do them very often !!

  • omigosh you're so pretty!

  • 3:51

    you have a gorgeous profile!

  • it looks fantastic, i will deffinatley try it now i wasn't sure it would work to well with my hair casue i have very thick long hair and i have only been able to find videos on this with girls who have short hair , thnak you and you look beautiful

  • wow, nice tip, but damn lady, u have a lot of hair!

  • you sound like you're australian!

    i'm from melbourne,

    you're making me proud!

  • Thanks everyone. Yep, I'm from Melbourne Australia.

  • You're so beautiful, thanks for this!

  • pretty :)!

  • You have gorgeous hair. It looks so bouncy and shiny! I hope this works on my hair, but I'm not quite sure what to do with my short, side-bangs.

  • i have afro hair and even i must say that that that helped enormously it does work i like mine very tight so i usually use curling rods thanks for the help. oh n im a scarf fanatic. !!!!

  • i have afro hair, too!

its very big and hard to do, so i usually wrap it up with the scarf:P

  • Your hair came out so lovely! Would I be able to achieve an equivalent effect with shoulder length, naturally curly hair?

Thank you for your videos. It's so lovely to know that these techniques can be done so quickly (& cheaply):)!

  • Absolutely! It helps to smooth out the curl too so they sit nicely.

  • Wow! It's not very often that I get such a quick reply;). Thanks so much for the tips ... I'll give it a try tonight! Crossing fingers that it'll work on my Medusa hair...:D

  • Ok. My hair is really thin and absolutely straight, but I decided to give it a try since it look so great on you. I did it with kind of wet hair though, and I didn't have a scarf :P But it came out pretty anyways ^_^ thank you!

  • That's great news! I always like to hear how it works on different hair types.

  • I love, love, love this video. I have hair just like yours and did this last night--it turned out so pretty. Thank you!

  • You have a wonderful face, so pure! And you explain the steps very clear and make it look so easy. Thank you for the great vid!

  • I have thick but very slick smooth hair. I keep having to redo a simple ponytail because it slides out. How can I secure my curls without putting a bunch of pins or hair product to keep it put? So far the only success I have is braiding my hair however I want curls more than waves.

  • I assume you mean keeping the curls once you have let out the pins? You can use a Setting Lotion or even mousse at a pinch before you roll the pin curls which helps, but the will also need some hairspray at the end to help hold.

  • you have gorgeous hair :]

  • beautiful:]

    i love your hair!

  • Wonderful! have you seen factory girl?

  • that is smart!

ur blue top is really pretty :)

  • hey do you start with wet hair? wb please. x

  • No not wet hair. Damp is best. If you've washed your hair and plan to sleep in them over night, make sure you've let it air dry until it is damp before rolling.

  • I like to use a spray bottle with water to dampen hair. They are sold from Home Depot to Sally Hansen. It also comes in handy if you want to do an afternoon touch-up for night. It is THE perfect thing!!!

  • You look like a cross between Amy Lee (Evanescence) and Kate Winselt - both gorgeous women. Anyway thanks for the video I'll be doing this with my hair tomorrow :D

  • gorgeous!

  • thanks so much for this tutorial, i was JUST getting tired of my long hair, and on the brink of cutting it short, but now ive got a new way to style it ^.^ thanks so much!!

  • Gorgeous! You look like Kate Beckinsale did in Pearl Harbour! Im going to try this out tonight, hope it works out as good as it did for you! :) xo

  • You are the cutest woman ever.

  • fantastic, favourited

  • your very beautiful, great technique i have long hair that ive just lost ideas for, im so trying this. x

  • Thank you so much! I just cut my hair pretty short... I have been doing finger waves, the way my hair will naturally wave, and I have been dying for it to be a little more curly. On the back of my bottle of wave spray it says try doing "pin curls" and I had no idea what those were! Ah! Now I know, thank you!

And your accent is very nice. c:

  • I love the way you say "Piece" x)

  • It looks great! :D I want to try that sometime but that's when my hair grows back. Very helpful! thanks!

  • i have trouble finding the right size scarves...what size do you use in this video? I would also like to try a "rockabilly bandana" look with just tight curls showing at the top near my hairline and the rest in a scarf and tied real cute at the top! any suggestions? thanks for your great videos!
