@TIFUKAMALY where was bangladesh before parition..its a bengali/bangali/bangla gaan..amader shobar eki desh ar eki gaan chilo..desh alada howeche..gaan to hote pare na!!!..would appreciate if u understand that the depth of such music which shows people like urself not to bring in divides..peace
this is my beloved bangladesh....such love from the heart of the earth...peace upon peace....but how sad has bangladesh become today with it's people wallowing in grievance and greed, hunger for fame and power .....yet there are a few left with the hearts of gold mashallah
BoyBangla is the typical bone headed nationalist.. who views everything from within a yellow glass of stupid nationalistic feelings... to .. BoyBangla.. "yes... your dad is the strongest" .. happy...? now lay off and stop putting copy pasted comments on all videos..
May be your observation is quite correct, but this three songs are of my collection of authentic peace of 22 more song recorded in Birbhum district of West Bengal, India only.
Plz dont mind if some ppl's comments hurt you. Most of them dont really no about Baul songs or about Lalon. They try to define in nationalist term while both Lalon and his philosophy go beyond.
This has to bangladesh baul -East Bengal - cos the music is similar to bauls from Bangladesh. Very lively and instantly sounds like clear "bengali baul" music
W.Bengal baul composition seem less vibrant and intense, and the music appears to be blurred with classical indian melody, rather than having a distinct bengali identity ..
But I think you are right when you say "the music appears to be blurred with classical indian melody"....With the progress of technology they use sophisticated instruments, to capture the market to achieve recognition they bring evolution and create a "great song". But these songs are not for us.
Respond to this video... thanks "astityaroy" for uploading this song. It`s nice. As for "BoyBangla" I respect your taste, but disagree with your opinion that "W.Bengal baul composition seem less vibrant and intense", and the evidence is in front of you. This song is amazing. If you still don`t believe I invite tou to attend some Baul meet in Shantiniketan(poush mela) or in different places of west bengal and I think you will change your opinion.
gaan ta aaro bhalo kore gawa jeto. bangladesh e onek shilpi aaro bhalo kore ei gaan ta geyechhen.

@TIFUKAMALY How many times have you visited Birbhum, West Bengal?
There is no reason to believe that Lalon's nationality (whatever that was) was ever a matter of concern among Bauls.

This is from either Jessore or Kustia of Bangladesh. There are some local accent in the song, if you are a little careful, you can also notice....
