This early 90's G.I. Joe stank downhill instead of going with the military more realism concept it got to fake and cartoony . After the G.I. Joe movie cartoon failure set in with DiC cartoons . Should keep Snake Eyes older look and at least make Storm Shadow stay good but his older cool factor . G.I Joe Extreme early 2000's was decent and G.I. Joe Renegde with 6 secret joes against a corprate Cobra is the most realistic concept of modern terroism . But Dic G.I. Joe was the worst ever failure

@narceron They didn't kill it for 15 years... just 4 years after the DiC series ended, G.I. Joe Extreme hit the scene for the next generation of kids... it was Extreme that wounded the franchsie in such a way that they had to climb out of a hole with two CGI movies, an anime, a webseries, and finally a live action movie, which finally lead to another full on American produced TV series in Renegades. DiC wasn't as good as Sunbow, sure, but let blame reside where it belongs.

@Galactatech Storm Shadow was only afiiliated with Cobra for a short time back in the 80's. By about issue 40 (of the 155 issue run) comic run, Storm Shadow was running with GI Joe. He only infiltrated Cobra to get information on who killed his uncle, the Hard Master. It was reveled to him that Zartan & Firefly were responsible for the death of the Hard Master, not Snake Eyes.

@MrSuajay Snake Eyes is mute. In the comics he lost his vocal cords and was disfigured while saving Scarlett in an helicopter accident. Snake eyes and Scarlett were also a couple in the comics.

"fight for your rights....defend freedom", very good sayings, but that sounds more like things to fight for in a court room. they are fighting military invasions and terrorism, I think "For survival and (intrinsically) freedom" would make more sense. Maybe it would work if GI JOE were rebels in a Cobra ruled world or something

I remember seeing the DiC version circa 1990 when I was 14 years old. By then, I had lost interest in the series and the toy line, but I was still curious as to what was going on since I had "retired." I can still remember catching an episode of this and thinking to myself how inferior it was to the Marvel Sunbow series. Why was using bright flourescent coloring for the characters of that era so popular in the 90's? At least they still kept the original voice actor for Cobra Commander here.

I love G.I. Joe, but this is crap! Storm Shadow was a man of few words. He thought before he spoke. In this cartoon he talks about nothing (and wont shut up). I'm 8mins in to this cartoon and I'm going to stop it here.Thanks for posting- this just is not the G.I. Joe I was treated to as a child.

Seriously after so many years i realised he actually is quite outstanding, i think hes the same guy that done the intro to the "Extreeme Disnosaurs" cartoon... gosh so many childhood memories... and still in matter of scenario dick series sucks compared to comic series, its so damn nice to see it again.

The DiC work had a lesser quality production than the sunbow series, especially in the voice acting department, but nevertheless it is still part of the Joe universe and deserves to be released in retail. This is, although very cheesy, one of my favorite episodes.
