  • Can i use it with Fl Studio and without keyboard? who knows???

  • Hello, which EWQL that i can import midi file?

  • IT'S TOTALLY REAL! EVEN 2:19!

Look at 2:35. He is hitting a WRONG NOTE on keyboard (right hand). And the same WRONG NOTE is played by the awesome guitar!

I'm happy i discovered this! This convinces me totally! And I'm in LOVE with this software! :)

  • will this work in FL Studio 10?

  • Great Overview...

  • please i need thios software

  • This is possibly one of the best VST instruments out there, I would love to buy this VST, the violin sounds increadible real, this blows hardware out of the water ( for the sounds it's capible of anyway ).

  • This is just ridiculously fantastic.

  • EAST WEST IS AWESOME!!!!!!!

  • thx for the reply. another question for you: is it tough to alternate between strumming up and down? I've heard that this is tough to replicate realistically with this software, would you say that's true or is there just a learning curve with this vst?

  • i've tested this library in a friend's house, and i can tell that the part that sounds in 2:19 IT'S ACTUALLY PLAYED IN A REAL GUITAR, IS NOT THE SOUND OF THE LIBRARY!

and you can realize this in the tremolo that sounds in 2:26 it's impossible to archieve that, playing with a freakin keyboard, east west are a liers with this demo...

  • @PCGamesClassic

The best plug for the software i ever seen, it really convinced you its a real guitar!.

But its not it's me Chris Brackenbury playing it live with a midi keyboard and Gipsy software in the stand alone play engine.

  • @PCGamesClassic I spended 1k + $ buying that plug-in & im happy that i bought it :) Thanks much EWQL !

  • @1984XS

Nice I just bought 7 EWQL libraries today and waiting for them to be delivered... i'm so excited

  • @PCGamesClassic That you're unable to do that tremolo on a keyboard doesn't mean nobody can, dude. I've heard tremolos on a keyboard 10 times faster, do some research (just type Cziffra on your search engine)

    sheesh

  • @PCGamesClassic That you're unable to do that tremolo on a keyboard doesn't mean nobody can, dude. I've heard tremolos on a keyboard 10 times faster, do some research (just type Cziffra on your search engine)

    sheesh

  • @PCGamesClassic - did you actually watch the video as he demonstrates the Tremolo key that you hold to modify any note to be a tremolo??? You may have tested this at a friend's house, but you didn't test that function.... many things can actually be done with a keyboard now that you don't think are freakin' possible.

  • @PCGamesClassic

no.. you have to make use of controlling the parameters..

  • @PCGamesClassic check 6:40 and see the magic happen :D

better inform you before yelling out bad words to good people mate

  • @PCGamesClassic 2:19

This is the Libery my friend ;) !

  • @PCGamesClassic Dude you are crazy. You dont know how to use the plugin. Just say that.

  • @PCGamesClassic You need a better midi controller and better skills. Touch sensitivity on your keyboard makes all the difference. i have this plugin and it is capable of doing even more insane stuff.

  • @PCGamesClassic your comment really convinced me that you know nothing about this product it is not fake i got a couple of eastwest play engines including gypsy. You played maybe once or twice with this software i do this everyday, it is possible but it takes time to learn all the tricks and stuff like that. So please don't talk about subjects you really know nothing about. This what you have seen is nothing yet it's capable of sick things.

  • @PCGamesClassic There has been made lot of music with these instruments of eastwest for movies etc. without anybody noticing that they are actually made with vsts, because these vsts are so good. if you are searching for realistic vsts eastwest is the best. people who don't work with these products daily please don't comment like you know anything about the product because you might make people not want to buy it, therefore they will miss the greatest experience with vsts!

  • @PCGamesClassic your an idiot no shit it was a guitar do your re research on how east west creates there sounds first all of the samples in this were recorded in a sound studio there real instruments

  • Just play the damn sampler, talk less for crying out loud. Giga libraries of such samplers have become saturated, there are millions of sample libraries under all kinds of brand names. However I HAVE TO ADMIT thaT THIS GUY PLAYS THE GUITAR PIECE REALLY WELL HERE AND ALSO THAT THE SAMPLES ARE OF PREMIUM QUALITY.

  • this sounds beautiful

  • lear how to SHUT UP

  • this man knows how to fuck the brain

  • la semillla k plugin dios

  • Do you find that this VST is still relevant almost 4 years' later?

  • @ShamanHighway YES. Nobody's beat the violin yet, but all the other instruments are extremely useful and well-done. It's a fantastic library.

  • Do you find that this VST is still relevant almost 4 years' later?

  • just play the instrument =( ....

  • Microsoft Sam speaking fluently?...

  • The violin is amazing. I use it instead of the ones in Symphonic Orchestra.

  • wow.. but what keyboard is he using in this demo? how can he activate such switches?

  • Does it work with FL Studio ?

  • @Freelution

    Yes

  • mazing zound

  • in east west colossus i can find this plugin or its library incorporated?

  • Very nice but shit $355? not in this life time..unless I hit the lotto lol great sounds though

  • Is this compatible with Logic?

  • @ShockTactix

    yes

  • @floridamusiccompany Thank you for the videos. I have no experience at all with all this wonderful software. Could you recommend a book to get me started? I own a powerful PC with 16GB of RAM but that's it.

    Thanks.

  • @ShockTactix

its a VSTI , and copatible with the most Studio programs, like Logics ;)

  • im having a problem with ilok crap help!!

  • Also I was wondering about guitar slides. I have seen slides triggered by velocity, but I would image you are restricted to whatever step up / down is programmed in. Can this program perform a guitar slide directed to wherever you want on the fly? Quite important this next one.. can this be done for two strings / notes at a time? Like on a guitar you may fret a few notes and slide. Sorry to bombard you!

  • Hi there, I love the expression of the violin! I have a few questions, if this satisfies my needs (I hope it does!) then I would love to buy this product.

I was wondering, if I use this in Cubase 5, can I record to both MIDI / audio? If I can record to MIDI, will any slides / legato etc. be translated into MIDI data.. ie will it play back as I have put it in? Can I quantize it on the fly?

  • Owh...No Wonder But Still Awesome ^ ^

  • Well, I was thinking about buying this EWQL, but sound of cimbalom really disappointed me. It looks like cimbalom doesn't have quality sounds bank. But I have to ask. Why? It's so beautiful instrument!

  • I have to agree that you should two demos, one an explanation, and another just a sound demo of what the software will do sonically.

  • that violin detection is sick. no idea why the hell it's not been done before

  • How many (what for) different sounds are in one EastWest Programm (how many and different Strings, guitars are includet?)

    Gypsy, Minestery of Rock!

Do you know in wich pack the angle chroir is includet?

    Thanks T.

  • type in roby lakatos in the search engine and see his ensemble and u will see

cimbalom instrument maybe then u will know what it is !

    this vst ROCKS

  • A vst called Gypsy = Respect

  • Your reviews are great. I wish i could afford everything from East West

  • When used as VST plug-in will Quantum Leap engine update the samples to the tempo of your song that you're using it as a plugin for?

  • @tastelesstouch

No its not needed as all but a few are strait samples, you have to play them ( NO LOOPS) .

    regards chris

  • A minor scale ftw.

  • great review and I have to say, you are a sick talent! I love how you can bang out that music on the keyboard

  • Don't mind the kiddies who are more interested in just hearing the sound rather than actually hearing about the technical merits in this REVIEW. I'm not sure why people find any reason in the world to complain/'critique'. D=

These reviews are the reason why I'm going to save my pennies for Symphobia and Symphonic Choir, so, keep it up. =D

  • why can 90% of SOUND tutorial dudes not pay attention to the sound of their talking? the software sounds awesome though !

  • where can i get it from ?

  • I use Fl Studios, but this program sounds incredible!

You can hear some of the songs I've written at my channel if you're interested. :) There is definetly a difference in sound quality.

  • love EW stuff . But their articulations always move around in the stereo field especially noticeable in the solo strings and in the Violin in this demo. It sounds like its being played by different people in different positions on the stage. It sucks.

  • is this program competible with FL Studio?

  • 2:19 is ridonkulous

  • Great vid, thanks

  • Holy shit o_O this vst is really AWESOME o_O

  • amazing

  • How do you play it??? you connect a special keyboard/piano to the computer or something??

  • Do my ears deceive me or do I hear a hint of Scouse in there? Crosby? Formby? Nice demo BTW.

  • Awesome Synthesizer Close To Realism ^ ^

  • @PsyceBorneo

    It's not a Synthesizer, it's a Sampler.

You won't be able to get a Synthesizer sound this realistic.

  • Concierto de Aranjuez played on Flamenco guitar sample--never heard that before. That's really cinematic.

  • I can't believe all the stupid comments about the accent and the rest of it....

    grow up.

  • jesus this guy can talk

  • cymbalom - is used in romanian folk music for instance and in the demo hes using wrong technique - its hammered

  • oh dear another one.

yes i am wrong i was playing my midi controller keyboard i should have switched over to my 88 hammer action keyboard instead i am such a plonker.

  • @floridamusiccompany you played nice m8 :D

  • @floridamusiccompany

I have the blue interface. Why? What must I do to have the same interface?

  • I want this so bad...

  • extremely impressive instrument. brilliant review. Now where's that subscribe button...

  • omg the acoustic guitarsound awesome !!

  • @hinsonjamie SAME HERE. I almost want to buy the whole thing just to use that beautiful violin.

  • WOW!!! :D

  • Wow the products of East West Quantum leap are amazing. What a quality and so real!

  • For god sake stop the stupid comments and enjoy!!!

What the heck? Now even someone's accent is a problem????

If you don't like watch something else!

  • excellent review . I prefer the British accent to any other English speaking accents. I don't understand what the moaners are complaining about. It's a review, not an elecution lesson. Great job floridamusic

  • EWQL roxks SOCKS!

  • Gypsy or

EW piano's ? that comes in

    "The Complete Composers Collection "

-it comes with Symphonic Orchestra Gold

    EastWest/Quantum Leap Pianos Gold

Symphonic Choirs Quantum Leap Goliath Stormdrum 2 Voices of Passion

    Quantum Leap RA

but i already have a korg triton , and a tone of VSTI's that have piano's in them . Please Message me this comment took like 5 minutes to write (lol) ty

  • I'm struggling with the same... I'm going to buy "The Complete Composers Collection" but I think I'll switch "Symphonic Orchestra Gold" with the Gipsy, because I heard EWQL Pianos and was completely blown away :D

  • @JSpraya I'd get Gypsy. You get a piano sound in Symphonic Orchestra, and I'm not sure but I think you even get pianos in Goliath.

  • @MithraMusic

no piano in Symphonic Orchestra..yeah there is one on goliath

  • @yacinesan You most definitely do get a piano in Symphonic Orchestra, a Steinway B. It's under Percussion - Wood. Which one do you get with Goliath?

  • How about an explanation of the strumming portion of the flam. gtr.

  • amazing vst . great video

  • thank you so much. i have something to lust for. gr8 video, please make more vids on this vst.

  • haha the guy says moo-zic instead of myou-zic lol he talks funny.

  • Wait...are people seriously bothered by his accent? So rather than being blown away by the incredible instrument he's reviewing, people are actually complaining? Wow.

Love the software, great detailed review, and awesome accent. Triple-win.

  • @MithraMusic , agreed. The annoying moaners have nothing to do, probably

  • @MithraMusic well said !

  • sounds very nice. How much we looking at here?

  • $355.50

  • Not sure I'd buy anything but a car and a computer for that money.

  • To be honest, this pays off if you are serious about It, I have already purchased the Symphonic Choirs + expension PLAY and Ministry of rock PLAY, and I'm amazed by the possibilities... <)

  • no guys, he is Aussie and i like the talk. You guys too slow to follow

  • he isnt australian... haha nice try.

  • your flamenco sound real !!!

  • OK! OK! i get it your German , you no likey British accents.

    Chris

  • Please don't judge German people for it, I like your accent and, I'm German, too.

I feel ashamed for people like producer2009producer.

    Nice video.

    Greetings from Germany!

  • IT DOESN'T MATTER IF ITS EXPENSIVE

  • He has to talk man..It's a product review, the whole idea being that he goes through as many freatures as possible explaining what they do.

Thanks for the review chris,i like the way you are thorough and clear in breaking things down.

  • Sounds stunning! I love the EW/QL stuff.

  • yeah east west pwns check out symphonic choirs shit is unreal make some crazy hooks with it

  • raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaadical!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    i will own this someday.

  • EastWest is great

  • i will buy this plugin soooon.. i was in a studio in sweden before and they had this plugin. This is the best plugin of ALL time. Actually.. omnisphere is good, really good, but quantym leap gypsy is a beast.

  • Anybody have this?

  • Could this can be used as a VSTi ???

  • This is a VSTi

  • Realy realy nice vsti! and realy realy unreal sounding! but i still like it! Cheers!

  • damn man ur good on the keyboard..

  • oh. shit. son.

i need this thing. i really need it.

  • Thanks for the review. It helps when considering products like this.

  • omg!! the violin sounds stupidly amazing!!

  • Excellent demo - just enough information with no waffle and nice playing of the features I'm interested in.

  • If I could just suggest giving a brief demonstration of the vst before talking about it. Thanks.

  • just play music and no explanation then!

  • @keithgarry , it's a review, not a presentation

  • Yo chris have they done a blues version?

  • why would anyone use a cimbalom instrument for a spanish type of sound?

the spanish doesn´t even know what kind of instrument that is!

  • oh dear

are you saying Spanish people only play instruments that originate from Spain or are you saying its not correct to play Spanish music on a cimbalom!

  • I don´t meant to offend you in anyway! but I see the cimbalom as a hungarian traditional instrument, the sound of it is connected to hungary!

  • This is exactly the kind of question I'd like an answer from. Especially for the dynamic range and not attack and velocity range, playing all notes with the very same flexibility of pedals and modwheel but translated on the piano roll... All this could be done with a LOT of automations but it will also take a LOT more time and possibly much less realistic as well...

As much as there is more Keyswitches, the better the piano roll can gets as well, without MIDI equipment.

    Gotta love it

  • it is possible with the vst version :)

  • stos son trolos seguro

  • can east west work with fruity loops if any 1 knoes pls message me back thanks

  • it will ;-)

  • Yes.

  • just symphonic choirs have problems, because you need an extra wordbuilding software to use it in fl

  • Well, Wordbuilder doesnt quite work in FL.. because SC runs via Play, you cant change settings on the SC to wire it with wordbuilder. it works fine in solo mode though.

  • can you not use it in fruity then :(

  • what about voices of passion?

  • yes the mxfchell of whatever.. still not working :(

Its there, but i cant get any sound thru WB, only SC.

  • yes

  • yes it works

  • Cimbalon is a folk dulcimer

  • Just bought this and goliath and RA and voices of passion and orchestra gold. and they are all fab :D

  • damn he is good at playing

  • holy SHYT U PLAY THAT SO WELL :O

  • lol at "realistic" bow direction change

    lmao

  • i want an orchestra-like sound is there a electric piano sounds one?

  • Its both standalone and a plugin. Use in fl studio, reason, protools etc etc. Or just run it, and play

  • Reason?

  • reason is a program for like making beats and stuff . . . more techno oriented.

  • Reaon isn't Techno Oriented...I've used Reason and made pratically every genre I could muster outta that program...it's not the program that makes the music...it's the producer...a producer can use anything to be honest...lol =]

  • Okay. Yes you CAN make different music on reason. This is very true. But come one man. You cant say that it doesn't cater to and isn't marketed to the more electronic minded musician. I think Reason is great, but It definitely is more appropriate for certain types of music than other platforms.

  • well yes I can agree but music now a days has evolved where everything can be used for any genre. You can hear Rock in Hip-hop. Techno in RnB, Trance in Pop. All these things are in Reason, FL Studio and any other VST with a Oscillator in it lol like so called "T-pain effect" was previously used by other people before his time. like Effiel 65 and various other entertainers that made Techno/Rave/Trance Music. reason being why I said it's the producer/artist that makes the music, not the program

  • Time to start saving X_X lol!

mmm is this a plugin or standalone? Luvin these reviews!

  • both

  • omg when he played the piano bit i wanted to cream thats pretty insane playing flemenco guitar on a keyboard or wahtever

  • man i need that! the instruments sound so real.

  • fl studio 4 is also cool

  • lolllllll ayo dl numba 8 man...i can tell u stil a newb

  • I agree!!!! lol!

  • how much does it cost?

    Where to find?

    Must have!

  • check out the link it the "more info" section

  • he's giving a review of the product and what each thing does, he's not going to just go off in a tangiant of playing for the 8 minutes without explaining the background of a lot of the software tech going on while doing it. Let the damn man talk.

  • I got this same comment from 'starcherboy' - is this the same guy? Anyway - I see all these videos from Florida music company are all like this. It would be nice to be able to quickly call up a cool sound demo as I had someone in the room at the time and I wanted to show them the sounds and unfortunately its very hard to find any demos of the sounds without the long winded tech explanation of each litlle feature. Brits also always make the most boring long winded demos of anything!

  • Yes sort of, I was busy in the process of trolling a friends brother, completely unrelated to this other than I was in the troll account while posting and didn't realise it. I won't go into further details on that.

Anywho Chris does play some of the instruments while talking about it, it's just unlike say EW's Silk tutorial, this video can only cover so much in 8 min, and he does it while discribing quite a few Play functions. If you wanna hear the music, go on SoundsOnline and check the demos.

  • AHh I got tired of looking for demos of the sounds so I went and BOUGHT it! I am installing it tonight! I have a class project to do a paper on Bartok's research into Hungarian Folk Music and was hoping to make a CD for the class of some of the instrument sounds - looks like its going to happen. Hey what about that iLOK dongle can I use my pro tools one and add a code to it?

  • Bloody hell I did it again, anywho original message as intended:

I think you should be able to, however before you do, consult the folks on SoundsOnline's support section. They'll definately have the answer.
