Excellent Mark. Takes me back to my trainspotting days in the 70's. Me and my mate used to cycle from Pontefract and spend the day at Balne. You could hear the Dellies approaching for ages and we had to step 20 yards away from the level crossing to get the number/name. Class.
@ANDYJL1964 Cheers mate. Thats why I always wanted to go there for a deltic :) Apart from I used punto power not pedal power! Watch the dark one was even better. I went out at night for it and walked over the foot crossing just as I could hear it in the distance. The sight of that headlight on the horizon and the drone getting ever louder. Something i'll never forget!
Simply magic shot which says everything about a Deltic. Speed, Power, Noise and Roar. As to the wind,it wasnt much warmer stuck on that Duffield bridge at 23:04 :-)
