Make sure that your shoulders and especially your collarbone are relaxed. Try not to tilt your head forward. Also work with a weight that will not put strain on your back if it hurts. I have mid-back disc injuries and do not use more than a 3.5 medicine ball. Still works the triceps well.
Doesn't just show you what to do, but explains why it helps. Plus you can do these at home! I can't afford to go to the gym. When you look for exercises on the web, they tend to explain it vaguely, or try to advertising something else.
