hey, I can't say much about all religions, but I know that there's a song within the Methodist hymnal that says "I am the church, you are the church, we are the church together." there's probably also scripture which could back that up. But, yes, we Christians are the church. We have buildings in which we meet that we call churches...but without us, they would just be more buildings.
