I am wondering about the idea of it being "possible" for Jesus to have sinned if He had wanted to. The gospels say He was led to the wilderness to be tempted and He resisted and no doubt was subsequently tempted by the devil. Yet in James it says temptation comes from within us. I recognise that the sinful nature that we all have is still effective after regeneration, but Jesus will not have had to deal with that. So was His experience of being tempted different to our own?
The Prodical Son is a parable and it is a clear reference to the doctrine of Election of Gods people whereby God the Father has preordained that the lost son (lost sheep) are already saved.
It is not up to man to know who are the elect. Christs blood has already covered the sins of the Elect and God's grace cannot be resisted nor limited to the knowledge of man.
I find the Baptist teachings to be dangerous for Christians to follow; in that mans knowledge have some part to play in salvation.
@Alhambrattp-Peculiar how individuals come on here not realizing that they w/o even knowing it, are wearing not only their emotions, but their beliefs on their sleeves as well.
People willingly come to "Christian" sites, yet ironically try to insist that not only do they not believe, but ones who do are somehow less intelligent, uneducated, or culturally deficient, & often if none of those apply, "brainwashed",Yet, "they're "here" again, seeking, known to them or not.
I just finished all three wonderful hours, listening while I worked today. I really enjoyed this so much. I learned so much - and I am really starting to finally "GET" that it is Jesus Christ and His atonement alone that saves me. The works thing is everywhere and I know I am no CO-REDEEMER I am REDEEMED!
First if your as asshole in life and say "jesus saves" me, think again. How do you know your redeemed? Did jesus or "god" redeem you or are you just proclaiming yourself redeemed?

The only thing terrifying about the bible is people still believe it's truth.
