If just by him using a larger sprocket changes how you look at him as a rider then I question you as a rider. Aaron is one of the most talented riders out there hands down.

Larger sprockets are give you more low end torque which makes getting the front wheel up in a controlled fashion when your only doing 15 MPH. It would be dangerous and irresponsible to not to use one around a crowd of spectators like this.
its a geared bike......his idle is really high which is also a big reason.........notice he was only sloppy in seat stander circles.......its hard to do a show and keep up the energy without mistakes...
