@Jrust139 That was his theory, but according to an SBS by Oda, Gear Second only drains the body of nutrients much more quickly which in turn makes Luffy hungrier and makes him tired a lot faster, over excessive use of Gear Second will make Luffy pass out for several days but not shorten his lifespan.

@R3LL0323 it's probably an episode where Robin uses her devil fruit power (she can grow her arms from anywhere and many of them) she uses the attack in a lot of episodes. You'd have to be more specific if you wanted to know an episode number, Robin uses that attack in a lot of episodes

@Ale3T1 Surprisingly enough, that is correct. After the timeskip all of the characters are two years older than they were when the first made their debut. It doesn't make much sense, but all of the events took place in that one year.

Luffy knowing, once he turned 17 he immediately went off. but we do have to remember that in one piece, no one ages despite the time between it.. maybe Luffy even did all those adventures in less then a year. and after the timeskip. he's 19/20.. so there... now I need to lay down because my little brain thought too much at once XD lol

@Jrust139 Well, you could judge the time by the days and nights if you're watching the anime. The Whitebeard War Arc only took a day. (two if you count the Impel Down bit) Thriller Bark took place in the span of only one night. Enies Lobby was probably about 4 days. As for East Blue, Alabasta and Skypiea, I haven't watched them in a while, so I can't really make a guess on how long they were, but I'm sure none lasted more than a week.

@lorshox I know the mangaka like to do things like that, where time's frozen except for timeskips and all, but man with ALL the stuff that happened it's hard to believe only a year passed, especially with things like meeting old enemies in Impel Down and even the characters treating it like several years had passed. I guess it just barely makes sense if you think an entire year went by, Jan 1st being Luffy fighting Alvida and Dec. 31st being 3D/2Y.

@koopakape right? i mean but every arc is probably just a week to get to the island and theyer at that island for probably 2 or 3 days at most. but in the anime it takes FFFOOORREVVEER. like in impel down luffy was in there for like half a day right? but it lasted a really long time. and in skypeia they were up there for like 3 days. but now look at them at the end of the grandline all strong and shit when its probably just been like 5 months in theyre time lmfao

@lorshox well In DBZ i sorta explained it away byt he fact they were moving and talking FTL but in One Piece...er...well even most action movies with a countdown don't stick to it religiously. its like artistic liscence. the inter mingled scenes might not happen sequentially but around the same time or something i dunno. all i know is Luffy uncovered CP9 broke buildings, a tidal wave, invaded Enies Lobby, declared war on the gov and defeated them esc thier uber weapon in 24 hours.
