  • I'm going back to Perth, I've lived in London for the last 8 years and I'm sick of this bloody shit hole!!!! Will update if I get out there and I'm bored shitless though. London is a dump and nothing to be proud of.

  • I do not know I walk around the world , in young years I worked in Perth , as a clerk in the diplomatic consulate ant aftar 10 years ago I was on vacation for 20 days and ca tegorically affirm Perth is the nicest, most prity city in the world...!

And I would like to end my life was spent in Perth, and also now am a family man, I have promised to myself if one day I wiil be financially well , secured would love to my wife and my two daughters to see the city that I dreamed every day. I love

  • I lived in perth from 1966-1969 i was dragged to the docks in 1969 to be returned to england ,i was 15 years old my parents went back in 1972 when i got married but only stayed there for 12 months what a great time i had a school there Mt Lawley High........

  • Hi everyone, English gal here. I just want you to know how much I love and admire the Australian people, particularly those from Perth. It's not just because most Australians have British like me, it's because you turned a fairly desolate island into one of the most modern and magnificent nations on earth and yet you're not arrogant. The majority of people here in England really love you, regardless of what anyone says. Plus, you're the best in the world at cricket, my favourite sport!

  • I'm heading to Australia for a backpack trip. Is Perth a city that allows you to go out to night clubs? Or is it boring?

It seems to be isolated from other popular cities for backpackers and it makes me hesitate whether I should take Perth as a starting point of the trip or not

  • After living for 50 years in the UK and having been all over the world, I have to say, after 2 years of living in Perth, it all seems good so far. I LOVE the climate and the outdoor life but I do agree about the the Aussies, they always brag about Australia without knowing much about anywhere else, I sat with the most boring bastard ever at a BBQ, he slagged off most of Europe and when I asked him when he was last over, there it turned out he had NEVER been out of Perth!!! what a wanker!!!!!

  • I was born here and my children and my little grandchildren... never had any problem it is a beautiful city and I wouldn't live anywhere else in the world. I don't like hustle and bustle and huge crime waves as in other cities. Perth is lay back and I LOVE it! It's not a competition trying to keep up with the world I would like to let it stay the way it is it is thank you for this well put together video I enjoyed it very much! :))

  • Nothing in the world could match up uncultured behaviour of new delhi India. Pearth is just nothing.

  • Sweet place to live in 1965 much like over here in NZ but how times have changed since illegals, overstayers and benefit bludgers have made them both financially strapped and much more violent places to live.Deport all illegals, overstayers and can the benefit this is the only way these places will turn back time and make them safe places to once again raise a family

  • I lived in Perth I had a good job and a good woman lucky city for me.Cant say anything bad about Perth.

  • Europe is OK lived there for a while and now in NZ. I also lived in Perth for number of years and will be going back soon. Europe has a lot to offer in terms of culture and yes Prague is a very cool place but Perth is economically probably one of the best places to be right now. As for crime, its all over the world and Europe on the verge bankruptcy and the only safe haven is in places that produce precious metals like WA. So lets see how you all go over the next 2 years. Perthites are cool

  • Is perth , Munster , near cooger lake dangerous ? I might be moving there next year ? It has 95% good

  • Will someone truthfully write down what they have done in Perth in the last month. Then I'll write down what I've done - or - if you post your age, I'll respond with what one of my students of a similar age has done in the same month. I think you'll find life in Europe is richer, more balanced, less alcohol driven and more diverse than life in Perth could possibly be. I loved raising my kids there in the 80s and 90s but now it is dangerous, unfriendly and incredibly self obsessed and boring.

  • @chrisseyoz Perth... Dangerous? Haaaaah, unless you're a 15 year old chick dressed like a slut walking around alone in Northbridge you should be alright mate. In other words, if you act stupid, you're going to get hurt, same rule applies for every city in the world.

  • I came back to Perth to visit my kids 2 years ago. The same stories filled the papers - Northbridge violence - gangs - home invasions - rapes - fights at RPH. The people I met were obsessed with money, property, getting drunk, gambling. Oh, I'm sure there are some well adjusted and delightfully cultured people there - I just couldn't find them! Now I live in Europe. I get an Aussie pension and am seriously affluent in Prague. I've visited 8 countries in Europe so far - Perth - I don't think so!!

  • @chrisseyoz Prague? -5 degrees most of the year. Even summer doesn't get above what we set our air conditioners to.

  • I lived in Perth for over 30 years. The last 4 years I was a taxi driver. As soon as I started to tell passengers and friends that I was moving to Prague in Europe I got berated with a million stories of how Perth is the best city in the world. HA HA HA.

As I was leaving Perth a young lawyer had been found murdered in Kings park, There were daily bashings in Northbridge, a girl was raped and thrown into a lake in Belmont, and home invasions were common - Yeah best place in the world!

  • I'm from Perth, live in London now. Perth is a nice place to bring up a family but a boring place to live. It's funny, looking at these scenes of the city... nothing has changed since 1965! Says a lot about Perth really.

  • @brinkworthroseann Im not having a go at you but this is exactly why I left Perth. Lived there for 23 years of my 30 year life but it was this attitude that made me leave. I love Perth but it is hardly the best city in the world. After spending a year in Europe I came back and found Perth people very uncultured and ignorant of anywhere else. I guess it's the isolation that does it but I just don't get it.

  • I have to agree with you on that one. I left perth 15 years ago at the age of 26 and always go back but found myself somehow "suffocating" from the ignorance and the uncultured society. This said, without prejudice/ mean intentions. It's just an objective observation. They keep on building it and just wanting to feel cosmopolitan but it's start with the mentality. You cannot "buy" culture. Perth society is forever trying to catch up to the rest of the world. It is however a natural beauty

  • @Booya9272 so u dont advise me to go,.....booking it nxt week,,,,WTF,,,,,,

  • Neat, thanks Oz.

  • "everythings perthect in perth" *wink*

yeah lol nice idea, how about the kindly old lady gets mugged for her dardy icecream by coons and the guy playing darts at the pub has them taken off him by a gypsy joker who then stabs the cunt in eye, or even better

this is like the american dream for aussies,

I'm liking this video because it made me laugh the whole way through, though probably only because i'm on the gear and haven't slept for 2 weeks

  • You obviously have not been anywhere outside of Australia have you? There are many people coming to start a life in perth, just as there are many people to leave perth - still makes it a shit hole.

  • ,*

  • Deliciously old fashion ! It's incredible how much everything has changed in less than 50 years !

  • what a shit hole hasnt changed

  • @ProXJoss lol, ye cause all our mining royalties go to u shit cunts on the east coast., ohh.. and the 'shit hole' has the most expensive suburbs in aus and the most expensive lifestyle, doesn't say much for the rest of Australia does it.

  • @tru3b1u31 haha what? i am from perth u wacko. Incase you have not realised, perth is overpriced. in other words you are getting ripped of for everything you buy. And the argument that perth being expensive makes it better doesnt show for much of your intelligence does it?

  • @ProXJoss umm ye it is more often or not the more expensive it is to live somewhere the higher the standard of living which attracts people. Which then go onto affect other aspects of the city, crime, environment infrastructure , health care...etc. nice one idiot.

  • @tru3b1u31. You assume that the more expensive a place it the more it attracts people? please explain why tourism in perth is so low? Maybe it would help if i gave u an example. A BMW is expensive but it makes up for it because its nice to drive. Were as buying a 6 pac of emu bitter is both expensive and horrible, therefore over priced. high standard of living sure, attracts people no (look at perth) crime sure, infrastructure, are you kidding me? have you seen the bell tower?

  • @ProXJoss High Australian dollar and im not talking about tourism im talking about attracting people to come live and start a life. There has just been a list of the top 10 liveable cities around the world. Go have a look they all have one think in common, they are all relatively expensive and if you don't like emu bitter that is your choice, and please emu bitter is not an expensive beer.

  • @ProXJoss please reply once you have received a form of education. It helps to explore outside of australia, it would to be a form of education.

  • Hahahaha the taxi driver got out of the car, greeted him, then opened the door for him.

I'd like to see that happen now

  • I'm Canadian and I lived in Perth WA for 1 full year. In my opinion it's the most beautiful place in the world to live. I would give all I have to be able to move to Perth with my wife and kids.

It's a shame that I can't get a visa because I would be there with you to celebrate ANZAC, to take a cold stubby out of the esky and have a barbie at home with my Aussie mates. Way to go.

Australia and Canada are the best 2 country in the world to live peacefully!

    Bloody Awesome country!!!

  • I didn't know there was life in Perth... :P JOKING!! Perth is beautiful.

  • It was a much friendlier Perth back then.

  • @bobbyknight1970 Even in the very early 90's it was as friendly. The change has been so massive in the past 15 years mainly.

  • everyone seems unknowing..wait wait i guess they were unknowing on how the future would change so much...the idealic life is long gone..people used to say perth was like a large country town..in no way does that apply anymore..esspecially over the last 15 years or so...and to be honest if i was alive back then i would had been bored shittless...there is not one exciting thing in this film

..oh wait there is a ice cream truck..thats pretty awesome!

  • @MrSmile1087 Why the hell do you keep spamming every Perth video with the same comments? I got robbed $900 in Auckland, but i still love it. Just because you have one litte accident doesn't mean the whole city is bad, for christ's sakesm you could also get robbed and murdered in Canada too.

  • @Aspekitteh no. canadian are not racist.

  • @MrSmile1087 And dont come back or Ill rob ya!

  • @scottclements78 i dont give a fuck to shit austraia. a stolen country.

  • @MrSmile1087 Why don't you just return to your native India and it's caste system, racism and general crappiness? Your dreaming if you think Canada is better. I've been there and it's certainly not the case.

  • @MrSmile1087 Haha, dubai. If it wasn't for oil money they'd still be living in caves.

The whole place has been built by foreigners because they can't do it themselves.

Kiss a girl on the cheek in dubai and you'll end up in jail. Talk about backwards.

I guess your a student, taking advantage of our superior schools. Or your a refugee taking advantage of our welfare. Either way, it sounds like you don't like it here so you should bugger off.

  • @MrSmile1087 In another video you say you are Indian.

I think you are lying. I can understand that as I work with lots of Indians and know what they are like.

  • What a nice taxi man. He opened the door for the passenger.

  • Haha, back in the days when Perth's airport was on Maylands Peninsula. :P

  • 7:57 - I came

  • This take me back to when I was -23 years old. The foreshore looks so different without the freeway there.

  • I have a friend who's from Perth. He'd be too young to remember this.
