The thing that pissed me off about this movie is that he imagined real and practical things. The Green Lantern is supposed to be able to shoot a laser from it or pick things up with it or instead of creating a riot shield, he should have created a shield that was floating in front of him but instead he uses an anti-aircraft gun or a spring to throw things up in the air

The fact that he sees all evil, seen and unseen, and that he'll always fight against it and protect those who are oppressed, it makes him sound like he's, God. I know he's not, but maybe the Green Lantern himself is an analogy for God(Creator), if ya think about it, kinda like Aslan from Chronicles of Narnia was an analogy for Christ, it's however the original creators meant it. I don't understand why so many people say they screwed up this movie. But then again, I never truly got into the Green Lantern comics/background stories like i did with a lot of other comics.

I mean, Abin Sur wasn't killed by parallax and what not but Hollywood is KNOWN for changing things (like the hp films....UGH) we shouldn't be too surprised

@whitelighterpaige Well yeah and that didn't really bother me becasue that's how super hero movies work. They have the origin story and the first mission and they have to tied into each other in some way. You just can't have Abin Sur just happen to die and pass the ring on to Hal then later just happen to have Parallex and/or Hector turn up. Things have to have a connection and go from point A, point B, point C, etc...
