I am a strong believer of realistic combat in films too, so thats quite a compliment.. even if the combat in this film was quite unrealistic ('Sgt Rock' ;) ) I'm thinking of making a film myself, except with Germans under the spotlight. I liked the effects for when the bullets hit something, like the tree and when that one guy got shot. Though it is way to small... There are hardly ever fights where its just like 1 soldier vs 2 soldiers, though nice work anyways, I probably could not do better. Just giving out some of my advice. And the struggle scene was way to reminescent of Private Ryan.

The sounds of the gun firing sounds like it was taken from the game call of duty. Exactly alike. Actually I'm 100 % positive they were. The ambient sounds are also taken from the game call of duty. Nice job on stealing other peoples work. I didn't see any special thanks to the guys who made the game. GreyMatters studio for cod 1 and cod: uo or Infinity Ward for cod 2. Crappy film too.

Germans only almost won because of blitzkrieg tactics nothing else hitler was stupid for not listening to his generals in many cases he beieved in bombers and not fighters is why he lost control of the skies and which later caused him to lose the war but the germans had the very best guns aircraft and tanks/armour but many of the best guns and planes came in 1944-1945 which was by then far to late..like the mp44 for example came into service in 1944 so but factorys were being bombed so much
I'm not sure who it was earlier that posted that the garand had 2 round clips but it was only 8 rounds. the way that the action of the weapon works will only support 8 round clips.

I have to disagree with the forests being too clean and green. The forest looks very European and not every battle in WW2 was fought in bomb and artillery ravaged ground. The kids could be dirtied up a bit, but I'm ignoring uniform issues because it looks like they tried to hide it as best they could (where some videos don't bother). I would have liked to see some justification as to why the GI was alone. I know it happened, but there didn't seem to be any objective. Otherwise, not bad.

Hey guys, i just wanted to say thanks for watching my stuff, and that the reason for the only GI is that I only have one American uniform, and we just used cloak type things for the germans. I know the costumes are a little gay excpet for the american. We just shot this on the fly, for fun, with no money. I just borrowed a nicer camera that day and watned to try out the costuems for fun. thanks guys!

The U.S. Helmet should be darker green, and you Soldiers should look more dirty and grimey lookin. and that Forest looks too clean and green to be a WW2 European Forest. Also, you should get GERMAN HELMETS, a very main part of WW2. I mean it's quite disappointing to see Germans without that beautiful helmet :P

Hey, not half bad, i really like the sound effects. And the camera angles were pretty good, and the colors where very crisp. German uniforms were off, but im also filming a full lenght ww2 film, and they are very expensive. Again it was pretty good, has alot of potential and youve got some talent man. That would depend on which German Units wereput into action, if they were made up from occupied territories , they may not have the same fighting abilities as their German allies.

Good job overall. The color and layout was great, it wasn't rushed, and definitely has potential. One thing I would note: in the scene where he is walking and stabs the guy with his bayonet, he had no bayonet on his rifle. That was pretty obvious, but still well-made.
Is it just me, or did the soldier pull three extra shots out of and 8-round clip? And after that, did I miss him reload? But hey, the effects where nice. Good job.
2.a soldier wouldent run wilest under fire by enermy troops and 3. when i was in cadets they said be4 aprothing a boddy you shood look incase of a bomb or granade they might be hiding under there corps and in a place like that there would of been a few mines but apart from that it was brill :P

I'm not sure who it was earlier that posted that the garand had 2 round clips but it was only 8 rounds. the way that the action of the weapon works will only support 8 round clips.
not a bad job at all for the video, I do enjoy that you've chosen to mention the rain and how much it would blow, was the garand you used a de-activated version?

I have to disagree with the forests being too clean and green. The forest looks very European and not every battle in WW2 was fought in bomb and artillery ravaged ground. The kids could be dirtied up a bit, but I'm ignoring uniform issues because it looks like they tried to hide it as best they could (where some videos don't bother). I would have liked to see some justification as to why the GI was alone. I know it happened, but there didn't seem to be any objective. Otherwise, not bad.

I love how this video has become a WW2 comment ground of discussion. ha ha. Hey guys, i just wanted to say thanks for watching my stuff, and that the reason for the only GI is that I only have one American uniform, and we just used cloak type things for the germans. I know the costumes are a little gay excpet for the american. We just shot this on the fly, for fun, with no money. I just borrowed a nicer camera that day and watned to try out the costuems for fun. thanks guys!

Also, it's very unrealistic how 1 American is traveling by himself, and therefore takes out like 3 Germans all by himself.

Not at all unrealistic, many instances where single acts of bravery by one GI against many Germans are recorded in the Army historical records known as AAR (After Action Reviews) case in point Audy Murphy, single handedly stop attacking German formations.Check out the Army War College and u can read for yourself www.carlisle.army.mil/

lol, yes but he was with a infantry regiment, with other soldiers. He just ended up killing lots of soldiers throughout the war. He wasn't traveling by himself in an unkown forest. And that G.I. in this movie looks very young and inexperiance to have such skills of taking out 3 Germans by himself

well, I'm not trying to be an ass, or a cultural racist, but I'm stating the facts to the problems of this film. The U.S. Helmet should be darker green, and you Soldiers should look more dirty and grimey lookin. and that Forest looks too clean and green to be a WW2 European Forest. Also, you should get GERMAN HELMETS, a very main part of WW2. I mean it's quite disappointing to see Germans without that beautiful helmet :P

Give em a brake damnit, ww2 gear is hard to come by, and is extremely expensive, so unless you can do better, lay off. Im making my own ww2 film and its a hell of alot harder than it looks. GREAT JOB ON THE FILM.

Hey, not half bad, i really like the sound effects. And the camera angles were pretty good, and the colors where very crisp. German uniforms were off, but im also filming a full lenght ww2 film, and they are very expensive. Again it was pretty good, has alot of potential and youve got some talent man. Id like for you to check out my vidoe, search for ww2 A DAY IN JUNE, on youtube of course. Again loved the movie.

That would depend on which German Units wereput into action, if they were made up from occupied territories , they may not have the same fighting abilities as their German allies.

excelemt well done except for as some one commented earlier the german uniforms are off but from my point of view german uniforms are som what hard to find and expecive depending of what typ it is but anyway well done!!!!:D

Good job overall. The color and layout was great, it wasn't rushed, and definitely has potential. One thing I would note: in the scene where he is walking and stabs the guy with his bayonet, he had no bayonet on his rifle. That was pretty obvious, but still well-made.

If memory serves, it can fire 2, 5, or 8 round clips, but only the latter was issued to the military.

The clinking metal was the 'clip ding' when the magazine ejects from the last round being fired. So yeah, he reloaded when he got behind the tree.

u kno u mist out a few things a soldier would do
1.they would set up camp at night
2.a soldier wouldent run wilest under fire by enermy troops and 3. when i was in cadets they said be4 aprothing a boddy you shood look incase of a bomb or granade they might be hiding under there corps and in a place like that there would of been a few mines but apart from that it was brill :P
