@robmasterman Every one seems to go for the "lineside" angle - and very good they are too. But I remember sitting on platforms as a schoolboy watching locos trundling to and fro just like this. Back to my childhood!! Chris

@AndreiTupolev Plenty of action around the station (and a fair chunk on the "cutting-room" floor) Andrei. I'm afraid I get fed up of the clowns so, as usual, gave up at mid-day. Funny, I can put up with non-enthusiasts being noisy or getting in shot but always think fellow addicts should be more aware (like most are). One reason why I don't do many events like this. Chris

@siobhan104 Thanks Tim. I like the action around the station/shed as that's the sort of thing I remember from the 50s with locos pottering around. We never went out in the hills etc. just to the nearest mainline station which also had a shed just beyond the station. Chris
