There was just so much venom in Pete Townsend's 'strumming' if you call it that, with that windmill technique. But it sure looked good. Entwhistle looked as disinterested as usual, but was laying down immense foundations. To me he plays bass like he's also playing rhythm, he's so accomplished.

@Swartenager The "shortened" version is the single mix, it came out before the Who's Next album as the full version would have really struggled to get played on AM radio at the time. It was basically standard practice, and I think both versions work well
