The NT writers put Jesus as Lord over against Caesar and all other kings of the earth as the true King of the world. This is the Good News/Gospel.

@MIKYCD Well, actually he is right. The Gospel did not exist at the time of Daniel. In the verse you reference, Galatians 3:8, it says: "And the scripture, FORESEEING that God WOULD justify the heathen through faith, preached BEFORE the Gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed." This is saying that foreknowledge of the Gospel was made known to Abraham but it was a thing not yet fulfilled. It was to be fulfilled at a later time.

I studied and attended services and Bible studies with SDAs. They are some of the nices and caring people I know, but their theology is too limited to Mrs. White's views, and they defend her as if she was infallible. I still think they are good people, but many of their beliefs are wrong , and that includes beliefs in crucial salvation issues.

Context of Dan8:14 attributes the defiling the sanctuary to the little horn. SDA's interpretation attributes it to transfer confessed sins to the heavenly sanctuary by priestly ministry of Christ. To pretend to ourselves the SDA interpretation reads Dan8:14 in context would thus be to identify the little horn as Christ. Other words, we can't have both context & the Adventist interpretation as the Bible itself is concerned

Gospel: It just means good news. That is exactly what the sacrifice of the lamb meant to the sinners (Adam, and so on). The sinner deserved to die, but GOD devised a way to transfer our sins. The sacrifice of the lamb was just pointing to JESUS, which is the true LAMB of GOD.

Jesus was able to access the Holy of Holies with His Blood as a High Priest "forever." The writer of Hebrews described it as a "done deal!" Jesus could not have been consigned to the "outer compartment" -- where there are no High Priestly duties -- for 1800+ years!

Christ's Blood either qualified Him with permanent access forever -- ever since His ascension -- or it didn't qualify Him to access it at all. The "Investigative Judgment" doctrine is pure evil!

Gospel does not = Christ's sacrificial offering for sin. The word Gospel from the Greek word euaggelion meaning good news or the holy message. Though what doug batchlor is teaching here is error, so is what you are teaching. The word sacrifice was an added word in Daniel. In Fact the word translated Daily is here used as a NOUN, not an add-verb or an adjective as in other places in the bible. It is the only places used as such and therefore is best translated "The Continual"or Continual Paganism

Unless you rely entirely on the Greek Hebrew concordance rather than a knowledge of the biblical language you would have to come to admit that words in Hebrew and Greek like those in English are understood different depending on context like the word Rock in English. Ignorance is a word that means to be in dark on a subject. Unrighteous is a word that refers to the manner in which you reveal your motives in dealing with these issues. The fact that your approach is so negative and un-redemptive is indicative of your stiff-necked position. Avoiding the issue of tawmyd being used as a NOUN does not strengthen your argument while insult weakens it. The only reason sacrifice was added was because the translators had no ideas how to treat "daily" as a noun.
