  • CM is capable of totally making a decent Mospeada ride armor. Why they were only able to produce this as an end result, confuses me. I like my gokins to be at least 8-9" in height. Anything else is too small in my opinion. The vintage Gakken Mospeada ride armor is still superior to most current Mospeada products.

  • This thing is total shit! It's worth around $2.00.

  • I have the Fuke type and I generally like this toy. It is very delicate and can be fragile if not carefully handled, but everything pegs into place eventually. My only complaint is the armor mode being extremely top heavy due to the metallic torso (which also makes pegging difficult). Also, considering how much this thing costs, I cant understand why a proper display stand is not included.

  • As a kid I had one that did"t transform now I think it was beter.

  • I bought the Fuke/Rook model, since Megahouse/Toymani cut their line short. I didn't even get one transformation done before both arms broke! I'm so dis-appointed. These things are crap. Stick with Megahouse.

  • amazing transform, it's hard but it has to be , is not a transformer.

  • I actually have several sets of these. I love them & think for the size CM Corps did a wonderful job. Moreso as I`m a big fan of the 1/18th scale & want to see more,so CM Corps gets a BIG Thumbs UP for doing this. As for the transformations, yea tricky, yea a tad fragile But hell a lot of fun. Maybe you should get someone who likes the scale to review this scale in the future & you stick with LEGO or is that too fiddly for you too?

  • Yikes. Just watching Josh fiddle with that thing gives me a headache.

I think the CM's scale is just too small for something as complex as the Ride Armor. The ideal scale for a transforming Ride Armor should be about halfway between this little thing and the big ol' Gakken from back in the day.

  • my god, i'm not even transforming it and its pissing me off! LOOKS awesome though!

  • Aye! i want it too...huhuhu

  • You're right, the ride armor should all be olive green. That's how it was colored in the show and it looks better that way.

  • Uggh, watching you transform that thing reminds me of the mess i made trying to transform the yamato 1/60 yf-21, which looked 'fat' since everything was contained in the undercarriage - very poor design. i like the revoltech and doyusha line. Looks great w/o the punishing efforts of transformations.

  • Who in the world is the "CM" company? I like this size of the Cyclone ride armor. Is it still available anywhere?

  • It's difficult to understand the instruction and operates, if you have big, thick hand that's even worse. I was surprise to see how Josh did it. The toy does seems to be quite fragile, I got both of the Mospeada as a gift for over a month and they are still in the box cause I didn't want to wrack my brain over it! I think they need to make it bigger and easier to operate. I saw the bigger version in LA and they look great the height was about 8-10". Also it would be nice to see more metal parts

  • this toy was made just for the look.

  • theres this other ride armor thats easier and better then that one called VR-052F

  • I think I'll have a drink before i transform mine.

  • Nice but looks confusing and frustrating as hell to transform. Just too much work. Also looks extremely small- unless u have really large hands.

  • i bought one the other day, and i think this is one of the most detail transformation toys i ever bought. Actually i dont think u transform them properly. If u watch carefully there is an interlock system apply to the toy(stay firm in both mode). yes transformation is difficult in the beginning... but later its going to be pretty easy. i like it because no part should be detach while transforming. some hate it because its too small and confirm the windshield will broke..

  • I wonder if this is the same model as the Megahouse version. I got both Megahouse Orguss and Nikick and let me tell you... They are more fragile than fabergé eggs!

  • This is a very accurate review of a shitty ass toy. I bought mine last week and the wind shield broke within 15 minutes. I paid 5600 yen and after opening it, I found myself regretting every yen spent. It still hurts... :(

  • I normally like your reviews Josh, but this one is your worst ever. You don't show any respect for the toy, you're just throwing it around like a rag doll and then you complain about it. I have one and I don't have any of the problems you're mentionning because I'm careful and patient with it. It's not meant to be played with like a cheap $5 Transformer.

  • Transformers are qutie expensive here..Kids dont hav a transformer unless the parents are rich..Consider urself lucky..:)

  • PascTF: if you read Josh's in-depth review of the toy at his website, then your critique wouldn't be so hasty. No high-end toy is flawless. Josh is highy enthusiatic about toys. It's in his blood and will, and Josh made it very, very, very clear as to what that particular toy is for. No matter how young and old, he and she, or big and skinny the collector may be: This toy is definitely not for everybody. Think about it dude.

  • Oh, I read the written review the same day I watched the video. But you obviously didn't watch the video because he does throw the toy around like a rag doll only to complain it's not solid enough and what not. That's not what a good reviewer should do. That's like complaining about a Lamborghini not being able to go offroad.

  • You're wrong dude, I watched the uncut version of the video w/ Josh's frustration of the toy. He didn't show us threw the toy on the floor, but he did mentioned it and cut to the Ride Armor mode. You're overexagerating the case. If he threw it on the floor many times it would've broken in pieces. I think Josh did a good job reviewing it. He's just expressing his experience w/ it and it's his right to do so since he bought it. It's not like that he's using your toy for S@T.

  • Look around 2:55 into the video, he starts throwing parts around.

  • Err, yeaaah...but he's throwing it inside his lamp tent. Not all over the floor like a wild animal dude. It's not a big deal. C'mon man, cut him some slack.

  • Thanks. I have the Megahouse one and that one is just as unsatisfactory as this review makes the CM one appear. It's too damn complicated and fragile.

  • Thanks Josh for this exciting review. I bought one some days ago and the fitting of the accessories really sucks as you said. I am looking forward to the Mega House offering and obviously the Beagle masterpiece in 1/10 scale. CM's really let me down this time round.

  • Sad model. Happy review.

  • JOSH WHAT CAN I SAY!!!! I LOVE THIS TOY IT IS BYE FAR ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITES!!!

i know its a pain trying to transform it but on behalf of all collection DX subscribers

WE THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO DO IT!!!

    YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!!!

  • I knew it was going to be bad when Josh sighs right after he pulls the legs out the figure and just plops on the table lol :D

  • Damn it, CM's.

EVERY transforming toy I've seen from them that has an inkling of intricacy has been summed up by this:

"Excellent design. Beautiful little touches. 1-3 crippling design flaws that make the toy a painful experience."

    GaoFighGar's StealthGao... *cries*

  • man, this. looks. like. crap. everything i've seen says these suck, i'm so glad i went with Mega House.

  • Wow. Great review man.

Will you also be reviewing the Megahouse Ride Armors?

  • Wow, that toy really blows. Before I saw this review, I was dead-set on getting it, now I'm conflicted. If it didn't cost so much, I would've said that the flaws were forgivable.

  • Hi Josh. Great review as always. Not really pleased with the quality of the toy. So, I'm gonna pass on this one. Looks very frail. Anyway, thanks for sharing your honest review.

  • 1st post!

    cool thing but looks complicated.

Are you going to review that diecast gurren lagann model anytime soon btw?

    Peace.
