@TheCrapSalad If you have the GTX 580 in it yeah but otherwise no.

Even with you might get some major bottlenecking, you probably won't be able to play it on ultra but you'll be able to play it.

HBAO cuts framerate in half. and all it does is add a bit more shadows but is soooo taxing graphically. if u turn it off your FPS will skyrocket.

@iMan5Fam oh ok lol. but just to let u know DICE said the only way to run it in all ultra when it comes out at a solid FPS was to have 2 580's but when it comes out u might have to turn HBAO off because u might have less than 60 fps because the beta maxes out at high settings, not ultra. just a tip i thought id let u know. but u have a sweet PC i am jealous.

@rebourne783 - Resolution 1920x1080; Just played the Caspian Border map. Avg: 85 - Min: 58 - Max: 111; Another one was Avg: 60 - Min: 24 - Max 102. It's beautiful. lol

@iMan5Fam If you get a 3 gb, make sure its a MSI NGTX580 Lightning Xtreme Edition 3 gb($600), currently the best 580 you can get, next upgrade is the GTX 590 or the amd 6990($700+)

I'm thinking of buying a gtx 590 or 1 gtx 580 and then another gtx 580 in 6 months time when the prices come down. gtx 580 sli is awesome fps and you wanna have overkill fps when it comes to gaming. You can never have enough fps in First Person Shooters

@lancast77au - from what I've read, gtx 580 sli beats 1 gtx 590.  of course if you went quad sli with a 590 then that's another story : )

Can you please tell me how much fps you get with a single 580 at 1080p? I'm just deciding right now if SLI is worth it or not since I hear performance on a single 580 is pretty mediocre.

@kyj2329 - ok. at a single 580 at 1080 I was getting 40-60. at 1366x768 like a guy below asked me, I was getting 80-120 and it looked good.

@iMan5Fam so 40-60 with a single 580 and 80-120 with two in SLI? wow, that is quite a performance difference...single 580 performance is quite disappointing to say the least.

@kyj2329 - keep in mind that i'm using the latest certified nvidia graphics driver and not the "recommended" beta driver that's suppose to add %38 performance.

@kyj2329 Considering that I get an average of around 40FPS on high settings at 1920x1080 with a GTX 560, I'm sure that a single GTX 580 would be awesome. Also remember that the full release will be better optimized than the Beta. In fact, I'm buying a new GTX 580 in the coming few weeks to replace my 560 :)

My man, can you do me a favor? Put your resolution at 1366 x 768 ( my resolution ) and tell me what fps you get in extreme situations, maxed out. I have 1 580 and I want to see what the difference is in performance. I get 65 average currently.

@LMAOTutorials - about the same as in 1080P. Slightly higher between high 80's and all the way to 140. I use Fraps btw. I read somewhere that since this is a beta, some of the textures aren't even what they're suppose to be like in the full game. I sure hope so because the guns can use some more detail.

@iMan5Fam Yeh guns could. But still...only high 80's? Jesus. BFBC2 runs at 125 minimum on 1 GTX580. I guess 2 is better than I have now. It should last me until I get 2 590's :)
