No one I know has been able to get their lender to accept the hope for homeowners program. I was able to get my loan modified, but 1 month into the modification, they sold my loan to a new lender and now they will not accept the terms of that modification. I think it is time for me to walk away.

Hope for Home Owners Program is the last resort. The Gov. owns 50% of you home after 5 years. After one year the Gov. keeps 100% of your house.....Stay away from this progam!

California's Mortgage Foreclosure Consultant Act at Civil Code 2945.4(a): "It shall be a violation for a foreclosure consultant to:
(a) Claim, demand, charge, collect, or receive any compensation until after the foreclosure consultant has fully performed each and every service the foreclosure consultant contracted to perform or represented that he or she would perform."
