With the 9600GT it shouldn't work really good on high. Maybe it works fine on medium but I think the framerate on high will be crappy.

Impossible, just ridiculous how this card can play crysis at medium on your PC, i barley ran cod 4 or rainbow six vegas 2, and now i got the hd 4670 1gb which can run basically anything on maxed settings other than crysis, but it can fight the good fight on high settings with crysis.

Ya Pentium D dual cores our alright. But the cache and the front side bus sucks. Plus they usually run hotter. Which makes bad for overclocking. Plus if you get down to it is. Is Two Prescott cores on one CPU. And if I remember correctly. a 1.8 GHZ Core2Duo is just as power full as a Pentium D at 3.4GHZ. If i remember correctly. So really in terms of games the Pentium D sucks.

That's a decent PC. Dual Cores DO NOT mean you have two CPU's running at 2.5GHz. That isn't how it works.

I'm no expert but I would personally go for the Pentium Dual-Core (2.5GHz) since according to benchmark results it is only about 40 points lower than the Core 2 Duo (2.8GHz) which is nothing.

Plus the Dual-Core supports multithreading because of it's two cores which can make a lot of difference (speed wise) when using particular programs or games.

That's my verdict. Go for the Pentium.
