@supermeuhmeuh Bah i have to listen to the and tell you becuase i don't remember..but i remember he was refering to "the sentinel" and to "the electric eye"
My absolute favourite track on this album. The whole album is a true classic though. My whole world changed when I heard this the first time in 1986. Only then I realized this kind of music existed and I went on, discovering Destruction, Slayer, Metallica, Nuclear Assault etc etc. Precious times!!!
This is a 1986 album. Compare that to the rest of the metal scene. NO other band at that time could pull that out. Duelling guitars are in a league of their own (Iron Maiden don't even come close) and are only bested by Keepers..., trash metal elements are right there up with the best but with much added value.
This is as good an album as Master of Puppets. With melodies.
@MeteoraXV Thrash? Far from it. Angel Dust's To Dust You Will Decay is a prime example of thrash/power. Helloween has always been speed metal or power/speed or power metal band depending on which album you're talking about. Keepers era is pure power metal, though. When bands like Mania and Scanner were stereotypes of what Helloween created on the two Keepers albums. Attack and Heavens Gate took it to a next level into a new era which will become modern power metal later on.
@TheGoldenPS1 oh sorry i dont really know the subtle differences between thrash and speed metal =P i tend to think of thrash just a tad more extreme
this album does kinda sound thrash to me, as does Better Than Raw which, for me, is like Walls of Jericho II
it depends on the vocalist i guess, Kai was the wickedest I think, then you had Kiske who is kinda overrated from what I read all the time, but had the pure power metal thing going on, and Deris who gets dissed alot but is really cool
@MeteoraXV I don't find it hard to see the difference between speed and thrash. I hear it clearly. You need to pay more attention to speed metal. I was just as lost as you are when I had hard time to know the difference between speed and power. But thrash is thrash you can hear it on the song structure and on the vocals. Walls of Jerico is speed/power metal while Helloween's EP is speed metal. Germany wasn't much of a power metal country in the mid of 80's. Stormwitch was the only band then.
They rip your flesh tear your heart take you down to hell, love that part. this song is soooo fucking good. does anyone know if these guys are going on tour anytime soon?
@tomistomasinensis well there are working on a new album right now which will be released on halloween this year, and i believe after that they will be touring!
@Vaatinouta i really dont care about dragon force and their music...but through fire and flams would be harder to play than sing song (been shredin for 6 years)
but this song is way better and allot funner to play though haha
Fucking awesome!!
