I didn't really think it was that amazing. I mean, it was good, but I didn't really see anything I havn't seen a dozen other times. You got off beat a couple times, especially on that first stick flip. You like, skipped a beat or 2 I think. Also, Double bass drum wasn't very even. Paradiddles were cool in beginning.

actually I don't. this is a premier jazz artist birch. The issue was, 2 years ago when this was filmed, that i was using a webcam, and to stop the sound peaking i literally covered the in built mic with cellotape. My kit actually sounds really nice. I agree that it sounds like SH!T here though.

Try practicing with a mirror next to you and focus o keeping your limbs down as much as possibl...relax your shoulders..and work with your wrists and fingers...not the fore arms..

Also if you notice from this video..you tend to pop your right shoulder up when playing up tempo on the snare...try and correct that...

He's pretty good and I would believe him on the first time thing because this solo doesn't seem premeditated at all and he hits a few rims here and there. If you're gonna post stuff of you playing on the internet though you should invest in a mic that can handle it. This audio does you no justice.

sounds great. I have the same problem. Little room with great big drum sounds. It sounds like a tin can cause the sound doesn't have enough room to breath.

I have used dry towles layed over each drum with great results. You cut alot of the volume and get a cleaner tone in such tight quaters. Great playing, Rock on!!
