  • @lambadalasse I love all your playing. It´s so good. Thank you for sharing. I,ve been playing blues for a long time. My next challenge is trying to play some country but its really hard and I don´t know how to start. The technique its quite different from the blues. It´s nearly to start playing guitar from beginning.

How do I get this score or TAB for guitar?

  • @DustyFuzz I just found tabs a guy on TDPRI made. You can find it on my download link under video. The file is called In The Style of Troy Cook Jr. backing_track

  • This tune is amazing, great performance !

I also am a country lover, however not guitar expert enough to play it by ear... can I find a tab somewhere ? I searched a bit without success :(

  • @Corshclaw Thanks a lot Alex. No we didnt have any tabs when we made it. Havent heard if anyone possibly have done it afterwards....apparently not. Best regards

  • @nybanjo3 2 guys from denmark and Laura is from France :-)

  • stupid question, ok? is that called chicken picking?

    your damn good.

  • @neils68 thanks. A few of the licks in this song has some chicken picking licks...

  • It's fantastic!!!! :D

    From Spain.

  • Great Crazy Tere Tone ヮ(゚д゚)ォ!

  • I just love that kind of Picking. Wish i could do that. Oh, if i could only be young again ! At age 70 it's getting tougher to play my guitar. At times my fingers get stiff. But i try.

  • @MrPicklepick Thanks Roger...you are doing just great with those hands...that rockabilly vid of yours spaaanks :-)

  • Thanks very much for the info it has definitely helped you guys are great.

  • Being a chicken pickin fanatic, this is one of my favorite videos. I keep coming back to it. Love the ease and skill at which she plays. She is really good and so are the other musicians.

I would love to have the tabs to this song. Know where I can get them?

  • @ovation129 Great to hear. She is both a pleasure as a person and as a tele player. When I sent the backingtrack to France she sent her part back so fast I couldnt believe it. Im sorry but I dont have tabs for the song. My world is almost tab-less since I got the slow-downer software and can discover how to set my frethand optimal. Best greetings.

  • great playing

  • Great picking from everybody! French and Danish (sounds like a cooking class!) Tele pickin'--just goes to show that some stuff is just universal. Keep it up! And, Laura--if you keep picking it like that, it's never going to heal...

  • Absolutely astonishingly great. An all time tubestar track

  • @lambadalasse, noob question. The Hillbilly guy's tele looks small or he's just big? I'm kinda looking for a telecaster with a small form factor but not necessarily a junior type somethn.

    Laura = LOVE ♥

  • @blacktorotot no question is ever noob on this channel. I' m the hillbilly and i'm 1,90 cm tall. So that tele is standard size...Yes Laura is melting our hearts....what a dream of a girl. Cheers

  • @blacktorotot I am new here and enjoying the experience. Where could I get the tabs for this song Hot Water Pipe?

  • @ovation129 hehe.. you better asked the guys in the vid

  • @ovation129 I just found tabs a guy on TDPRI made. You can find it on my download link under video. The file is called In The Style of Troy Cook Jr. backing_track

  • @1FenderGuy Great choice...its gonna be a good xmas - all the best :-)

  • @lambadalasse yep. i have this on my MP3 player i play it in class so i can get over the bad times in school

  • @lambadalasse Yep i have a marshall amp with Reverb and hope to get a Deluxe Reverb one day

  • uouuuuu, verry good job.................thanks

  • I want a tele. Now.

  • She's beautifull :D

  • fantastic

  • @Pedro. Simple mate. Metal is all about distortion and playing LOUUD and FAAST It's a 'one sound' style of music!

Laura, quite obviously, has the capacity to play and explore different styles and it's THIS that makes her a great musician!! And she alternates between playing with a pick and using her fingers!

.....And YES, people can, of course, think what they like, just as I can think what I like. I just chose to write it down! :-)

  • @alwoodcock1 All i'm saying is i don't think we should be using one example of great music to devalue other peoples abilities when unprovoked. However as we both agree, We're allowed opinions and the chances of two people over the internet changing each others opinions are slim to none so I'll end my half of this conversation here.

  • Just wanted to say thanks for sharing your backing tracks. Very kind of you. Must take a while to make them :)

  • Awsome!!

  • LOOK, men!!!! LOOK!! To be a superb guitarist you DON'T have to shred heavy metal crap all the time. It takes a girl like this to prove it! Now, put your distortion DOWN so it's at that 'just breaking up' stage, bring your 'scooped mid' UP, turn your volume down, calm down, deep breaths, watch and LEARN how to play properly!

I LOVE this French finger pickin' gorgeous girl cos she is NOT some boring one sound, one style shred bore, unlike SO many others!!!

    Keep it up, Laura! xxxxxxx

  • @alwoodcock1 one of the best comments seen around. I agree...she is a star and a very nice person. It was a pleasure to work with her on this one. I'll pass the comment to her. Thanks.

  • @alwoodcock1 Could NOT agree more! Can't stand those guitar players who only practise speed. THIs is what a guitar should sound like.

  • @alwoodcock1 Hold on. Why is metal music any less valid because this was good? I love metal and i loved this track. I've no idea why people have to see (or hear in this case) something awesome and use it as a way to tear something else down. Can't people like what they like?

Nice work to all players involved.

  • @pedro92137 country blues is the roots of rock n roll and metal. thats why.

  • @alwoodcock1 exaclty--speed does not mean a thing unless you are tasteful and even then --shredders..repent!!..originality originality originaltiy!

  • I love it... look at it many times....

Also Laura Cox is great she is a big talent

  • Ah, Laura Cox. The best thing to come out of France since that horny skunk.

  • hawt water piiiiiipe, hawt waterrrr piiiyiiipe!!

  • sound killer

  • Killer tone girl!

  • Gender love country! Congratulations on the talent they have for the art of music. It makes me very happy. Thank you both. Greetings from Argentina.

  • awesome stuff! love that tone one the tele right at the beginning! what amp you playing through?

  • @joelostrom86 Thanks. Laura is playing through a Line 6 Pod. I agree...awesome sound it throws...

  • Cool!!! you guys sound great!!! keep up the Twang!!

  • Amazing ! Great stuff Lars and Laura. Mucho respect and love to you both. Andy.x

  • @bentines123 Thanks Andy - really glad u liked it.

  • I'd say you three have a hit on your hands, for good reason. Thanks for the track etc. I've learned Laura's part, now working on Lars'. I think y'all should flesh this out with a full version -- I don't know if Lars can sing, but Laura definitely can.

  • @thermality Thanks a lot. Its a cover of David Ball's song. Of respect for his great song I decided to not do any singing. And I wouldn't come near his great voice either. Super you've learned the licks...make a video and lets see it...always nice to see how other twangers interpret it. Cheers.

  • great style of playing ,like it very much.love that tele sound.whats your amp ? greet from a dutch fender fan

  • You should be heading to Nashville, you have alot going for you.My opinion is pretty strait forward.Stay on the country side, and the doors will open wide.

  • @TheWAYLONTRIBUTE What a nice comment. Laura for sure should aim for the Nashville area. She's got something great ahead of her on the musicarena.

  • I think im in love.a cute girl that can play country tele.damn!

  • Like it! Keep on ...

  • I was gonna say that Troy would be proud, and then I saw that he already posted a comment! Yep, he's VERY good and you're very good too! I've known Troy and his parents since he was a teenager. I call him my "little brother." :-) He's also a very good singer, with several indie hits under his belt. Always fun to work with him.

  • @traceykhouston Thanks a lot Tracey. I'm honored to have your comment. Love your channel and voice. Best regards.

  • really good !!!

    Cheers!

    Justin

  • @Gtrman86 Thanks Justin. Best regards

  • Wow.. Great!

    Marcelo Maya

  • Troy is an awesome player! He recorded a demo for me and played some fantastic guitar. He also does some picking with me on the road when he's not playing for one of the best country music singers around, David Ball. I know I'm a big fan.

  • @rbroshear I agree...his style is supertrendy with a new fresh view on tele-playing. I have always missed that more honky-tonk kinda playing...far away from the jazzy soft style. Btw I've seen the stuff on your channel...one word: AWESOME!!!

  • would it be too much to ask more from all three of you?? :)

  • @navidds haha...no...and thanks for asking. Im sure that there will be another project later coming up.

  • @navidds Yeah, do more as a group. The recording sound here is super :)

  • @kevland1 I totally agree. BTW I've just been checking out your playing and love it. I'm trying to include this style in my playing and these videos make me realise I've got a long way to go.

  • Absolutely fantastic!!!! Great job, love it!!!!!

  • Country and Roll! ;)

  • I'm in the UK watching two Danes and a French lady playing American music. And then to get acknowledged by the original artist is what makes YT so brilliant. Well done to all involved (and to Troy for making it happen).
