@IndyB25 Actully I would call it a field trip in my engine builders shop taking all of the good un blown parts off of blown motors and building a godzilla with whats was left. The original 800.00 dollar motor. Actually can twist 7400 rpm no problems. :)
meh that's definitely either a show car or one from the Petty driving experience. Been to too many races and heard them in person to know what the real thing is. Besides, unless you have a lot of experience with the clutches, you'd either stall it or smoke those tires almost every time. Just saying.
@2tallbrandon You don't wanna just jump into a late model on dirt. if i was you, I'd get a street stock, pure stock, idk what they call the class around you, class names tend to be regional other than late model. It's essentially old monte carlo ss cut up and built to run dirt. You wanna get the feeling of having a rwd v8 on dirt before you jump into the offset 4link late models. i suggest street stock -> sportsman -> late model as your budget allows.
I ran a 250 sprint, then a 600 for a half of a season because they found out I wasn't 16, and tecks didn't like how close my helmet was to the cage. I ran Quarter midgets for years, won a few nationals. My size has held me back ever since I cracked 6'4. I ran a 4 link modified at a practice session and loved it. But I really want to get into a full bodied car. We have a class around here that runs crate 350's. I would like to run street stock just to get back into the flow.
@2tallbrandon dude run a limited modified if yall have that class at your track, those are great starter cars for full bodied cars, just make sure you get a little experience in full body cars on the dirt before you get in one of these like weacerracing said, the rear ends kick around very quick with the power and the light weight car. I ran them for awhile and they are nice. made it to ump modified (they are AWESOME) but a bad accident put me out for good. what state do you race in?
@texasmusicfan03 I'm in CA, but I make it to AZ and OR often. I used to race nation wide when I was running midgets. I just looked at a few pictures and saw a video of a guys limited mod. looks pretty cool. My local track doesn't run these but I'm thinking I'm gonna get in my friends 4 banger just to get some more experience. I really want to run a crate late model class down the road.
@2tallbrandon Late Models are really nice too, the UMP are like the 410 outlaw sprints as to the limited mod are like the 360 sprints, same types of cars different performace levels, just kinda giving you a comparison. But anywhere in these classes from sprints, modifieds, to late models are I think the most exciting classes out there. I bought a 360 sprint but had that accident a week after i bought it and had to turn around and put it up for sale, i was going to race ASCS if you heard of that.
Could you get me a Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Bush and a Kurt Bush one to crash and burn. Then get a old Rusty Wallace for my dad. A Carl Edwards for my mom and a Dale Jr. 88 AMP car for me? :)
@airdocc how much is a dale jr car going for i'd be interested in just a roller or even a barebones roller. if you don't mind me asking though what exactly is your line of work? do you work with a team? send me a message on youtube thanks
@steamyhotpoo why would he do that? it's someone having fun in a car hot rodding the shit out of it...why would that make him angry?...if anything he could respect and relate to it...don't be a dumbass...dumbass
I bet that is just the guys who take older race cars to displays at shopping centers for merchant tie in promotions. Probably would get fired if the boss sees this and is sure who it was..... lol
Dale was the only one a rooted for. so when he passed on i lost interest. alot of the old racers that i used to watch are gone now. sterling marlin for example aswell, he retired.
I definatly would not be driving that car. I would put it in my garage and just keep it covered up....never even touch it. What I wouldn't do for the chance to own one of his old cars....
was this a showcar for rcr or did it run races durring its lifetime? and where do you live? in ny you can make these street legal with full cup motor in them if you run goodyear rain racing tires put head and tail lights and a windshield wiper on them. theres a guy in syracuse ny building them for ppl all over the place.
Notice his driving style in the parking lot. He's only used to making left turns. LOL. im just playin he's one of my favorite drivers, even if you dont watch nascar you still like this guy. Like father like son.
If you are seriously wanting to acquire a authentic cup car email me. I can get you ANYTHING.I have many connections with several of the top cup teams. I can get cars with documents of authenticity. Please only email if you are serious. I don't do businees with any one outside of the USA.
