@MZPOPDOLL : For 70s makeup, aargh, what an awful time that was for both makeup and eyeglasses, u want: glittery purple eyeshadow, CLASHING, too-dark terra-cotta blush (ugh! Those Estee Lauders were awful!), and a further-distorting maroon lip. Every woman & girl walked around looking harsh & unhappy.

uhm I'm not exactly sure what it's called but its by neutrogena in a square gold compact.... it's like a creamy foundation and it's old free and all that jazz. i have it and it's awesome.

the size of your lips really doesn't matter. Many actresses of that time had thin lips. If you want to make them fuller, you can "color outside the lines." I have to say that the shine makes your lips look fuller anyway. But, I would suggest (before discounting the red lips) looking at actresses for inspiration. You can do it! I'm sure you'll look fab.

I have thin lips (and a pretty tiny mouth) too, I find if I line them carefully and make sure NOT to go outside the lines, but to just be very neat and color the entire lip in with liner before the red lipstick that it helps them look fuller, also I find matte red makes them a bit less thin looking than gloss! Just go for it :)

As I've learned in school to become a make-up artist: to make lips look fuller, line outside your natural line, and to make them smaller line inside your natural line. It may appear odd, but if done correctly they should turn out great.

neon is actually more 80s. the 50s is things like Grease, The Outsiders and Rebel Without a Cause :)
