  • The GVP is now on sale at Sally's for 9.99!

  • for real i bought mine today and i got it for 59.99

  • you can buy a chi at folica for like 70 something i bought 2... and they are a authentic the chi website sells them through folica...sorry not a good speller =)

  • is ur volume off

  • no sorry it isnt off..im recording using a webcam and the mic is not all that great. u can still listen to it but ur going to have to turn up t he volume. sorry :(

  • awwe ur so cute :P I was debating on the one you have and the regualr chi, but the hard thing is i have extremly thick hair.. therefore i need the extra heat :( do u think this one would be really straight for my hair type? or should i stick with the original Chi??

  • i think this one would be good but consider how much u need. if its more heat look into one that offers more than 410 degrees. i would say to try this one or looking into one with more heat that can tame your hair :)

  • i have the pink one but i love the one you have

  • I had a Chi actually I had two it seems as though they stop working after a few years. But I do love how they work. I went to Sallys and bought a GVP and I have had it for a while now and I love it!!!

  • conair is a pitifully sad brand for hair straightners

  • your telling me, lol, i bought a pair of conair flat iron and the thing is a joke, it don't even think it gets no where near a hundred degrees, doesn't even get hot enough to straighten your hair

  • k for those of you that think that a chi is stilll better; I went on beauty choice and

  • how long does it take to heatt??????

  • it heats up very quickly so i'd say within a minute. its a really good flat iron :)

  • I love my GVP flat iron, I had it for about a year now and it still works the same, it still heats up within seconds of turning it on. Although I love my gvp I am about to purchase the Sedu, my little sister is obsessed with my gvp and excessively ask to use it so I will be giving it to her =)

  • .... I use my sister's con air infinity... it works fine but I ordered me a chi camo and I'm waiting for it to come in. So anything is an upgrade from the con air, but yeah the con air isn't full ceramic, its like plats over metal. When my hair touches the metal it pulls and burns it, so I have to be careful -_- its a pain in the ass.

  • i noooooo i have the platinum

  • yea the gvp is a good seller because i work at sally beauty n its a best seller. i dont use it cuz ma hair is very frizzy i need it hotter then 410 i use the ion conditioning a blue one for my hair try it its better if u have very curly frizzy and coarse ..

  • The chi does not cost $74.00. There's a new one out that is at beauty brands that has temp control and it cost $99 compared to the usual $129 I live in Texas idk if it costs different in other states

  • i have curly hair i bought the one from sallys and i took it back yeah it has a higher temp but the chi works better i just want everyone to realize the chi is only $74.00 and the gvp i paid $64.oo after taxs so its not that big of a difference in price i tryed to save some money by not getting the chi dumbest thing i did im glad i took the gvp back and got the chi by mail but very good video glad it works for you

  • iam gtting the gvp thx i want it so badddddd

  • good review. i love this iron. works very well!

  • me too! i had the CHI and i didn't really like it, but i love my GVP!

  • if they only had that left, how could she choose? lol

  • they have more now

  • Chi is the best don't go with gvp

  • GVP and CHIs both work the same, my sister has GVP and I have CHI.. but I still would prefer to use CHI over GVP.. though the PHI works as well as both for lower cost (the phi is 30 dollars at TJ maxx)

  • The only reason why im getting the CHI rather than the GVP is because of two reasons. To me, they are still both too damn expensive, so if your gonna put the money out there, might as well get the best. Also, the CHI has this technology where you press harder on your hair, the heat temperature increases. I like that. So I'll buy both and see which one is truly better.

  • good for u let us know which one u like :)

  • sweety if you want more subcrbers you gotta speak up so people can hear you!!!

  • sorry but even if i do my web cam doesnt do justice. sorry

  • what differences between gvp and chi?!?

  • i dont have a chi so i was only reading from the box

  • one difference that ive noticed is that the Chi flat iron does not allow you to turn up or down the heat of the iron--it only has two settings, on or off. the GVP has a dial so that if you don't need the highest heat setting [over 400*F] you can choose the best one for your hair type

  • hey i have that same gvp

  • Hey, I just bought a GVP the other day. I got the limited edition Roses one. Great video.

  • I bought the GVP flat iron from Sallys for my daughter and she loves it. She got the black with the stars. I've never used a Chi so I can't compare it but I do recommend the GVP. It's Awesome!

  • wow!.. awesome!.. i've been dying to get a really nice straighteners that can be compared to chi, bcoz my mom won't let me buy it since its too expensive, i'll check out sally's tomorow!..oh, and does that heat up fast?..and after u straightened ur hair with that does it look shiny or dry?..lol, coz i don't want straighteners that will make my hair freezy and not shiny at all..haha.. thnx 4 the tip!

  • the gvp heats up superfast and leaves your hair nice and shiny---as with all flat irons, you should use a heat protectant before and a shine serum after to control frizz...some people like to add a bit of pomade/styling wax/hairspray too...depends on what youre doing

  • Awesome!!!

  • That would be great! :)

  • i will get that for you soon :)

  • Awesome I am still tryinmg to figure out how to use mine to curl.

  • if u would like i can do a video for you on how to curl your hair

  • Awesome review! I just bought the pink one yesterday and I love it and your camo one is so cute.

  • thank you, i love it so far.... im trying to find different styles in using it besides curling it and straightning it lol

  • how come theres no sound

  • sorry my webcam isnt all that great and the sound is not that great either...there is sound but you would have to adjust your volume to a higher setting to hear it.....sorry :(

  • Wow that is so pretty.

I'll definitely wanna try that out. I have a CHI and I hate it.

Cord is too short and it really doesn't straighten my hair to my liking.

  • the cord on this one is 9ft long so you know you wont be struggling with the cord lol and i think for it not being a name brand flat iron it is great. they had different colors and designs at sallys beauty supply and its limited edition so hurry out and get it... if you try it out let me know how u like it.. :)
