can you please tell me how you guys nail jonny's sampler/drum machine parts so well on this, idioteque, and others

I basically took all of the CDs from Kid A up to In Rainbows and put them in a blender, added some whiskey and drank it all down. Then I sat down with Fruity Loops Studio and everything just came to me. But in all honesty I just have spent countless hours with oxygen tweaking sounds and building them from scratch. Hope that helps some.

Is oxygen a program, or are you referring to the gas?

Oxygen is a program that allows you to tweak the samples. I took an array of samples from live radiohead performances, studio takes, and from various drum machines. All of the stock samples from Fruity Loops and Reason are pure rubbish.

To be honest, arranging the beats and patterns is the easy part. Making the drums sound good in a live setting is the tough part.
