@eoltheelf This is what the Tetris theme was originally, it's a Russian Folksong so the people who did Tetris in Russia could use in their game. So it became more popular in the tetris game especially on Nintendo versions of it, so it became known as the Tetris Type A theme.

It's beautiful as a folk song, but the only reason I know about it is due to Tetris. Possibly it was Tetris that began my love affair with all things Russian in the first place. I would say the song has done its job, wouldn't you?

I suppose not, but my point wasn't the importance of Tetris; it was that my love of videogames as a child brought me to a love of Russian culture, which I believe is an amazing transition.

I think the problem here is that you just don't like Tetris, which is fine - everyone has different tastes.

Like cars, while games progress and become more innovative, that doesn't ever mean the old ones are defective, or bad. Oddly enough, tetris is one of the few games that never gets boring for me.

So many older games are much more challenging and have greater replay value than the games of today. I think a lot of newer games are like movies. Most of them, you can get the entire thing the first time you play it. Old games are more like board or card games... it's always a challenge!
