  • very nice video dude thanks :)

  • your a hotty..

    no-homo.. well maybe a lil

  • Im on vivatrol works great suboxone not so much. I had to be ready to quit otherwise nothing would work

  • @robielv

It's been awhile now, I'm on one 8mg strip in the morning and 1/2 in the evening. I feel like a new creature! I'll never be "normal"! But, it feels good to be able to be a responsible mom, wife, daughter, and human being! Anyone who plans on "doing it on their own", take it from a hopeless drug addict, who's tried. You can't. If you aren't in a program, NA is necessary. W/out that, I would have went bk to using w/or w/out sub. Esp. women! GREAT way to make sober friends! peace!

  • I've been on the naltrexone pellet for almost 5 months so I'm due for another implant, it's been great. I've been able to waste my money on other things like buying a computer, going camping instead of blowing money on heroin. Everyone says I'm looking so much healthier. My girlfriends happy as she doesn't use. I'll definately be getting another implant as I still don't trust myself. Here in Australia it costs $1000. I highly recommend the treatment, u must b clean for 10 days before starting

  • i heard goobermans a crook if u got a rich family or money yourself hell help u ,but on my dead mother hes turned addicts away that crawled in his office under his care for a year or two on suboxonne and told them to leave his office or hed call authorities ya after he made over 5grand off em n now ther hooked on sub worse than herion longer withdrawel i dont know he told me after on subs 4 6 months and payin out of pocket i didnt have the 300 4 visit n he said not my problem true story $bro

  • Great video, and congrads on beating the demon, im my self 8 years clean with thesame program from DR Lance Gooberman. When you said it was 4 rough days of detoxing, I remembered them 2. Shit those were shit days. But thank god there are doctors like Gooberman to save some of us. I personaly cant thank him enough.

    Good luck with everything

P.s i still carry his business card with me, just incase i meet someone who is ready to get help. His program is the only one that really works

  • @gregstick...addiction is an incurable, progressive, fatal disease. Lay off the guy. At least he is trying. Methadone is hell. Clinics are legal drug dealers. I spent EIGHT yrs. in a methadone program. I've had so many counselors, some ignored, some were great, and two proposed sex to me. AS LONG AS YOU HAVE YOUR $100 a week (thanks mom n dad)...You decide your dose. I wrecked 5 cars and relapsed 4x. I surrendered my life. It is hard. SO HARD. But, it is possible. I hope this man gets help!

  • @MsReffinej ya i kicked meth twice second time cause my girl was shopplifting n we where goin to jail so only alternative was methadone wasnt thrilled about it but saw no other answer,so icame off grinded my head for2 weeks till i had a bald spot size of a baseball from grinding trying to get to sleep id rather be shot then go back on methadone suboxonne withdrawel not as bad but just as worse ya just gotaaa man up4 2 weeks how thydid it backin the day its hell u cant describe weak no sleep ache

  • This guy is doing time right now as of 1/14/11 in PRISON because he failed his piss test while on probation. HE is a loser's loser and will always be that way. Ignore this video.

  • @gregstick1 thats really fucked up man. what has this guy done to you that was so bad for you to bad mouth him in such a way? even if what you said was true, why would you put it out like that? i feel sorry for you buddy.

  • I've had 2 naltrexone injections which lasted about a month each and I'm now on the naltrexone pellet which is meant to last 5 months. I've tried to use heroin while on naltrexone and yes the naltrexone works (I had to find out u know). It's great, I don't even think about heroin anymore, I'll definately be getting another implant before this one expires as I still don't trust myself. U must be atleast 10 days clean before getting the implant. I discovered that the hard way, oooh nasty!!

  • Hey whats up? Thanks for the vid, it really inspired me. Any way I get the pellet from Gooberman this past Tuesday,,the 2 month one..I wanted to ask you did you just get one or did he put another one in you after that was over? Alos how are you doing these days? Did it help you..are you still clean

  • I need ur help. I have tried subutex and suboxsan. And I got so sick. Massive throwing up and migraine headaches. I am on oxy 80 mg 4 x per day due to a back problem which needs surgery. But I really want to get off oxy. Will naltrexone work for me? And will I get sick? And getting the shots in the stomach, will become normal immediately? Please help! Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

  • i hate it when people pronounce suboxone "suboxin" and methadone "methadon"

  • I am 13 days off Suboxone and on day 7 I started the Naltrexone pills. I didn't have WD's off the Sub's like many do. So when I got the pills I was 7 days clean. It has really made a difference in my life just in the short time I have been on it. I am getting my energy back and I can finally say I am HAPPY. Truly happy. Life is great. If you can't go CT Suboxone in my opinion is the way to go.

  • except for methadone and suboxone patients aren't higher than a kite.

  • Ty for sharing..Ive been on Suboxne for over 3 yrs and want to try to get off them, but strugglw when i dont have them (however ANYTHING is better than the active addiction & withdrawls...Im going to find out from my doc if he knows about it.

    God bless..

  • @crazyhazyred51 Whats your plan with the suboxone? I've been on for a couple years and getting weened down at a faster rate than I'm comfortable with. Are you on a schedule to get off or some time table. I'm just curious to find out how long other people stay on them and what their doctor does.

  • Hey thanks for the informative vid, I've just come off methadone/suboxene 4 days ago for the third time in my 12 year addiction to heroin. I was trying to do something positive and rang around Dr's re naltrexone implant, just a few minutes ago I spoke too a Dr who recommended naltrexone injection, which I didn't know about, so next Monday 2pm I'll be getting my first shot. I just need to keep clean until then, that's the hard part. This is what brought me to your vid.

  • @1wor1d

  • i'm about to start taking oral naltrexone. do you know if it is as effective with cravings etc.?

  • You are very brave and you seem to have great personality. There are other method called waissman method. This method is somewhat similar but you need to be hospitalized. They will hook you up with many different medication to block the receptors. You will go into withdrawl while sleeping. This will prevent you from the typical withdrawl without the pain. This method works very well.

I hope you are doing well. Please let me know how you are doing

    Best of luck

  • day four off ULTRAM and going thru HORRIBLE withdrdawals. seriously considering this option since I can't seem to stay OFF opiate pills:( sick and tired of using.

  • you are a good man. thanks for being concerned for others going through the withdrawal ordeal. mine is about 6 months past, and i want to begin ldn mainly for health benefits (and there are many)..so, you are right on about this medication. thanks again for your time, and heart.

  • nice man i try to quit alchol cuz i self harmed in the past and i just try to quit everyone just quit its beter for health god is whit us be brave

  • How do you find a Doctor in Birmingham alabama to prescribe. We have called everywhere and they don't know about it or they use seboxin

  • to my knowlage the only place to get the pellet is in new jersey but there is a new drug called vivitrol that is the same chemical buildup but it is not cheap with out insurance and truthfully suboxone is a very good drug if used properlly

  • @recoverycounsel ya just dont stay on it for more than 2 3 months no matter what docs say its as bad as coming off of herion

  • @iriswhitfield

    what is wrong with suboxone?

  • Good on you mate, sharing your experience.

In Subiaco, W Aust, a clinic does this after rapid-withdrawal (supervised under light anaesthetic). It does have a good success rate, but there are risks of fatal overdose while on the implant, and when the implant actually 'runs out'.

You take care mate, l love the way your mum stood by you, sometimes it takes just one person.

    Good luck for your future.

  • oh I forgot. Why do they even have the one in the arm is it causes pain and is more expensive?

  • even when I had to start suboxone, I had to be sober as a judge for 48hours. It wasn't too fun.

I had no idea that the pellet existed. It is pretty cool.

  • You are a brave person and I applaud your effort at staying clean. God bless you.

  • i had my implant in my abdomen at a place in spain back in 2004.

    (same place as pete docherty!!!!)

  • The best detox method is like thoase 5day detox programs like detox5. Once you come out you are clean. You may be given naltrexone tablets everyday but its better to have the implant. But after the five days you are clean and you have the opiate blocker. Thats it.. the rest is upto you

  • Agreed. They are by far the easiest way to detox, and I'm sure for some it works. I've been through Detox5 twice. It is expensive, with no ongoing support. You've got to stay clean, not just get clean.

  • you will get pain relief by non opiate based analgesics.

Or you will need alot more opiate based pain relief than normal to over ride the blocking action of naltrexone

  • While on the Naltrexone and you break an arm or injury requiring pain meds do you just have to take the pain of the injury or do hospitals have other strong non opiate meds available?

  • while on naltrexone and you sustain an injury, the pain management used here in oz is suboxone or katemine

while on a low dose of naltrexone it is possible to override it with consistant usage of opiates to override the receptors, wouldnt get the same affect as you would without them but still possible.

i am not a doctor by no means just have experienced naltrexone

  • Hello, can you start vivitrol or neltrexone while you have opiate in your system ? well it get you sick or can it kill you ?

  • i dont suggest you start naltrexone while still having a habit cause even on day four when i took my naltrexone pill it made me really feel like crap check out vitamin c for drug addiction on google this will help you like crazy hope this was helpful

  • like i said bro i used naltrexone to buy me time to stay clean for alittle while and now im of naltrexone and still clean i dont have any disease and i never did so all the best of luck to you. believing you have a incurable disease you will never stay clean my friend

  • Good video info, but addiction is a progressive disease. A chemical imbalance in the brain. Addiction is no less of a disease than cancer or diabetes.

  • naltrexone is magic. but i'm now back On methadone after 7 retreatments from implants. i hope to get off liquid handcuffs. i had a hard time and started using again.

  • hey man sorry to here that but you really should check out vitamin c for drug addiction on google and also check out my other video for the shot so you dont have to get cut open anymore its awsome and painless so shoot me an email if you have any questions

  • Naltrexone replaces the cravings once the naltrexone wears off your back craving where u started.

  • well first i really find no need for you to curse on my video but i guess thats you but listen here I DONT HAVE A DISEASE !!! I am a person who stopped using drugs. I do not believe in the 12 steps because you are focusing on a negative time in your life and you are never able to move on obvesiously your 12 steps arent working because your watching this video. So in conclusion this was a life saver for me and i am now working on a year clean and i am no longer using it either so what disease ???

  • congratulations on your recovery. if you don't mind me asking, how many follow-up depot injections have you received - are you still using naltrexone? Have you undertaken any psychotherapy? Was this offered by the clinic you received your implant from?

By the way, what you said at the end about using heroin while on naltrexone will result in you throwing up is not correct - nothing will happen if you have sufficient naltrexone levels in your system.

  • i have recieved 5 shots now and yes the same doctor who gave me the pellet gave me this injection, and yes you are correct i appoligize about the misleading information if opiates are used the only reason you would get sick or overdoes would be due to being clean for a long period of time and your tolerance would be low thats it thank you for correcting me

  • Thanks for the reply. To follow up:

By shots/injection, I presume you're referring to the FDA approved depot formulation (vivitrol)?

To clarify, you can OD/be sick after being clean for a while, if naltrexone is no longer being released from the implant. While you've got good levels of naltrexone in your blood, it offers protection against opiate effects.

Have you undergone any psychotherapy? If so, would you consider it to be an important factor in staying clean for the long-term?

  • i need to detox from methadone is there anywhere i could go to get help with that? thanks man.....Lex

  • wait is that like legal heroin?

  • methadone is an opiate which is long lasting and can be prescribed so that a person receiving it daily will hopefully not go through withdrawal so that they don't have to look for a fix. The problems are that heroin can be used while on methadone and the eventual detox from methadone can be more difficult that detox from heroin.

  • Thanks a lot for putting this video on youtube..really helpful

  • TO ALL SEEKING HELP WITH OPIATES: You need to look into treatment with a drug called Ibogaine. Ibogaine is an addiction interruptor, not a maintenance drug like methadone or suboxone. Ibogaine will stop your withdrawal, elevate your mood, and stop cravings. I have Ibogaine videos faved on my chanel. It is not legal in the U.S., but there are clinics in Mexico. Two I know of are 1. Dream House 2. Villa Serena. Good luck to all!!

  • well i really appriciate your concern i am intrested in the product you speak of, i am going to look into it , but i must say naltrexone has been an absolute godsent i now get an injection once a month so i no longer have to get cut open for an implant and to be honest with you its right down the road from my house. so in conclusion KEEP IT SIMPLE man that has been what works for me. Again thank you very muchfor you information we need all the info we can get!!!

  • what kind of doctor gives this? I am in fl. and can not find it? Thanks,

  • while there is prima facie evidence for successful detox with ibogaine, there are also a number of dangers including induced cardiac dysregulation resulting in death. There are articles in the scientific literature which make reference to this. The problem is exacerbated by the non-clinical setting that people resort to because of the legality issues.

  • Dude, you have a lot of character. Thanks for doing this. I took Suboxone for 70 days and it took me 10 days to withdrawal. (I was 2 years on 10x10MG of oxy/day) thank you

  • please rate this video someone!!!!!

  • Hey recoverycounsel, I gave you a 5 star rating on this video. I am addicted to opiates like so many others. I am very thankful for people like you that put up this helpful information. I am weighing my options right now because I am to the point where I am getting sick of my addiction and I want to get my life back together. Good luck with your recovery.

  • Thanks for the video. It is very powerful. I appreciate your making it to help spread the word and help others. "Our primary purpose is to help others..." as they say in the 12 step programs.

The pellets for cocaine and alcohol cause sickness if you use but not naltrexone.
