No the story is that vergil did won the battle against mundus, but was taken away and brained wash by mundus!!! In other words he was being corrupted by mundus while he was battleling him. The yamato was lost but mundus gave him a new weapon!!! In ideal mundus planned this all along to confront dante a worthy adversary yet having dante truobled whether to kill he's own brother or not....

Nelo Angelo is Vergil in his corrupted state.

He assumed this form when Mundus killed the real vergil and broke his Yamato

Then he somehow brought him back to life and corrputed him thus giving him a new sword and renaming him into Nelo Angelo (meaning dark angel)

well its about learning the pattern of attack, the attacks dont really vary enough to catch you off guard with the exception of the summoned swords(if playing as vergil u dont have this problem either because you got your own summoned swords).

It's an unlockable costume you can get on Very Hard mode, I think

nah, I dont there's a cheat to give u full money, but its all from SS runs. Get SS ranks for all lvls on 1 difficulty and you'll get almost 300K. Multiply that by 5 difficultys :P

You're an excellent Vergil player, and have great skill. Especially like how your timing to counter Spiral Swords was pretty consistant, there was only one point the swords managed to get off, and luckily Vante paused still for you to make your own. BTW, love your combo when Vergil's vulnerable, it looks quick and painful :D

yeah, Vergil (the boss) summons his Spiral Swords, he only does that on DMD. The first time I tried beating this guy, I fought him for 4 hours straight, with no potions of course, and never got him more than half his life. He's frikkin insane, but keep playing and you'll get his moves down eventually.

It's a lil' thing called Jump Cancelling. He simply jumps right off the target after landing a hit with Starfall (which means you gotta keep a finger tapping that jump button to keep doing it) It works on every any except the Fallen and Arkham

Some other enemies that cant either, that flying suit of armor with the shield, I dun think u can J-cancel that thing, or the Archers (Enigmas), or the Flying phantoms (Mario ghost-like enemies, have to face away from them b4 they appear), Cerb can be J-cancelled, or Agni and Rudra, lol...I could keep goin I think, but thats most of em.

Took a look at it, the vids got some nice strats, like using Stinger to clash Vergil3's stinger. I'll see what I can do about incorporating that into my the next Vergil3 fight I make

Thx dude. My setup actually depends on which character Im using. Their not all that different though. Here is my Dante setup.

L2 - Devil Trigger

L1 - Shoot

R2 - Jump

R1 - Lock-on

Triangle - Attack

Circle - Switch Devil Arms

X - Switch Guns

Square - Style button

FOr Vergil, just switch X and Square.
