I've never heard of this group until now and they made pretty good songs. I just read online that Jeanette (wearing green) suffered from epilepsy. This is very painful to watch because not only is she suffering from her illness, she's suffering in front of thousands or millions of people on stage. If I were their manager, I think I would have replaced her and maybe have her write songs or do something off stage. My heart goes out to her. She died very young in her early 30s. RIP Jeanette.
I can't begin to describe how insanely beautiful this performance/song is. It gives me the chills and will haunt me for the rest of my days. This is 1967 TV at it's best (thanks to the hip Smo Bros). It's funny, sad, strange. puzzling, touching, etc. all rolled into one. It's The Shangri-Las on acid! R.I.P. Jeanette Jacobs.
I agree with Gwhitebeard's comments about (those that 'try out for the look of today' as he describes them, 'supersized thunderthighed blobs running around today' (yeah with the spare tires to show off! Who wants to see that? Here, it is obvious ALL that the girls have and it AIN'T SHOWING!! (Hint, hint girls of today!) I personally love the 1965 LOOK. False eyelashes, Flip and peach colored lipstick!! It is intoxicating... Who thought that women would look better with all diffr'nt styles?
Needed to see this to remember them. They're absolutely gorgeous, physically beautiful, thin, in shape, and can sing. This is what girls used to look like in the '60's, not the supersized thunderthighed blobs running around today.
@MisterSting i read a little about the group & discovered that Jeanette took medication for seizures. Perhaps, the possible seizures may have prevented her from exerting herself
@MisterSting She has epilespsy and while on stage she was having a minor seizure

Wait, this isn't the Alternative/Hipster/Country/Hip-Hop/Funk band from the 90's known as Cake.

I'm visiting, yet again, and no one seems to have noticed the E logo on the bottom right corner. A documentary segment?
