  • 0:12: Hey they might be releasing a new Tron movie soon!

  • I really really wish i could make that type of animation

  • It's very good, the only thing I would change is the disk. The disk doesn't change into a bike, the pole does. The disk is like your own personal memory card. lol *Liked*

  • LOVE IT ... hope see a LOT more of these man.

  • Hahaha... that clapper bit was hilarious!

  • Great stuff!

What spec PC do you have to render this?

  • I feel like such a noob... How did you get the glowing lines on there?

  • very cool

  • clap on ... clap off

  • That's pretty cool.

  • doesnt that ever hurt your balls?

  • cool beans. One thing to keep in mind is to add more natural movement. I know it's a pain but it pays off in the end... You did very good on this one though. Great movie btw

  • clap

  • tron legacy actually used EL wire on the suites

  • how did you do that wow

  • AW SOME WAY BETTER THAN THE FISRT MOVIE

  • @darkforceunlashed Thanks

  • @helrod lol Thanks

  • @helrod I don't think it's beter then Tron: Legacy's but it's good none the less.

  • @derekmorris89 this looks much more creative than guys in leather suits , thats getting a little old in genre movies.

So in TRON world video games never got any more advanced than Pong?

Neon light grid was okay in '82(it reflected the look of games back then) I the last game anyone saw at Disney was Ms.Pac-man.

  • @helrod I thought you were talking about the lightcycle transformation...

  • in tron, the motorbike doesnt come from the identitty card, But, good job

  • THAT WAS SICK!!! =D I LOVE IT!

  • clap on clap off, tron clapper...

  • @HyperCenturion lol yeah

  • @HyperCenturion damn it someone beat me too it =_=

  • @shadowconcert

    HA HA!

  • How did you do the Lighting effect?

  • Cool stuff,good job!

  • clap on clap off

  • Hahaha Amazing. Man Your Work Is Great. I Love How You Added Clap Off Clap On. Lol

  • isent it supposed to leave a light trail behind it? i dont really know. i never seen tron, just played a game called cycles3d. anyway really cool vid, i cant use blender at all.

  • @TitanicMasta In Tron. It Only Has A Light Trail When Active And In The Game. When Free Riding The Trail Is Off.

  • how long you took for the 46 seconds rendering , did you use windows or linux processor and ram . is ray tracing ?

  • @vectoranime123 I forget. It was a long time ago. But most likely all night long

  • that is so cool! *tron fanboy side coming out*

  • @robinget7 You know it. Thanks for the commit. Also I posting how to and sample files so you can make tron stuff too with blender

  • WOAH ON BLENDER?? :o

  • @Ironcomics Yeah on Blender. And I'm starting a tutorial so you can make it to. Just check out my video list.

  • Amazing. Good work.

  • @mangoprojects Thanks man

  • Whoa That is Amazing!! 5/5

  • @Coreywilson10 Thanks

  • very nice

  • Check out my other tron stuff and let me know what you think.

  • more then one rendering layer.

  • Thanks. I made this video when I will still learning how to make a good rig. Check out my newer stuff and you'll see how I've improved over the year.

  • can i have the site where you donloaded this blender software cuz i have blender but i dont have that file and i want to make 3D people and animals

  • @KrisRobLover He didn't downloaded the file he made it.

  • @Filmaker92 Thanks. Yeah I made it. Let me know if you know anyone that want a video. I'm try to make this a side business.

  • @KrisRobLover I can do even better I starting to make tutorials so you can make these same effects.

  • please do a tutorial hoe to make such tron like lighting effects

  • If you liked this. please check out my new tron videos. I have a really cool one of sora on the new legacy tron bike.

  • hmm...have to say...your lightcycle looks better than the one for the new movie...The movie one looks like one of Syd Mead's early light cycle designs...very early...They should have put the supercycle from Tron 2.0 in the new movie.

  • ha ha thanks.

  • dude thats amazing how do u that that

  • I use a tool called blender. Make sure to check out my newer stuff. I've gotten better at my tron effects.

  • LOL!!! :D great! how did u made him apears like that?!

  • It a modifier call boolean. You can do a lot of cool things with it.

BTW please sub and check out my other videos. I've gotten better over time.

  • OMFG WANT. Dude that is amazing, plz make moar

  • Thanks. Make sure to check out my newer stuff. I've gotten a lot better with time.

  • siiick

  • Thanks. Make sure to check out my other stuff.

  • very nice...like the body glow effect, and how you pointed it out with the clap, nice touch

  • holy shit

  • I guess that means you like the video or you had an encounter with God in the bath room.

But if you liked this, let me know what you think of my other stuff.

I'm trying get go enough to one day do this as a part time job thing.

  • just wondering how you did the halo effect

can you halo a texture? or are the halos meshes on another mesh?

    awesome job

  • Different render layer

  • @gammabun I'm beginning a new collection of videos to be done next week on how do make tron like effects. Check it out and let me know what you think.

  • CGI Stands for Computer Generated Imagery. By the way, Great Video.

  • Thanks for replying to my question. =)

  • What is CGI? I'm sorry for asking such a dumb question but I just want to know.

  • Nice effects.

  • Thanks. I'm current work on my next TRON video. I'm hoping to get the effects to look like the new legacy video.

  • i have ideas for a story. ppl who might be willing to do voices. and a 3d animator. along with an image editor. i feel i might be able to contribute some how.

  • Send me a sample of your story board and then we'll talk.

  • as in txt or a document

  • story board are like short hand comics. with stick figures and talk bubbles.

  • have it to u soon. send it here or email

  • lol the clapper

  • :) I glad you liked it.

  • That's incredible! I loved Tron...why did I never think of doing something like this?

  • I want to see MORE OF THAT !

  • You will. I've about done with my next video which involves a kingdom heart heartless. After that video is posted I will be making a 4 part TRON story.

Thank you for the positive comment.

  • Did you use the tutorial of Nionschannel for the teleportation effect. and very nice Light cycle moddeling. can you maybe send me a tut or explain how to make the glow effect. Very nice video 5/5

  • yep. The glow effect is done through compositing

  • nice effect!

i dont have any of the patience needed to do that.

    im guessing mesh light?

  • yep and then I added some glare. Yeah this video was mainly a test. I just wanted to see if I could make something that would look like tron. Now I need a story.

  • great effects :) it's really amazing

Looking forward to see your full Tron movie :D

  • Yeah now I just need to come up with a story line

  • can i help i have lots of cool ideas. i think it might be a big help plzzzz respond

  • While I'm still at the beginning. It will take make a couple of weeks to get the models and effects ready.

But I'm not sure what you can help me with. Let me know.

  • sry bout the second message. couldnt find this one 2 respond. but any ways i figure youre going to need voices. and u say u need a story line. i have a couple hidden away in my head. plus i am trying to start a production company and i feel like this video might get it some recognition.

  • Nice work... I think I'll make a new channel soon and start posting vids like this... or at least related to game, modeling, and animation...

  • ok :)

  • wow, just wow, considering how you did all of that in blender, with cubes and circles makes me amzed :D the animation seems so smooth and seems like you needed to go frame by frame, rotating and moving everything. I barely use the animation part so i would have no idea, I just use blender for oblivion modding, lol :P

  • Thanks. It means a lot to get a complement from someone that uses blender.

    I'm glad you liked it.

  • ted, this is INSANE. not only is the model and design worthy of syd mead himself, but the clapper joke in the middle is hilarious. amazing work sir. wish I had that sort of talent.

  • Thanks guys. I've seen your work and I really like it. Let me know if you ever what to do something together.

  • OMG i wish i can light up like that LUCKY

  • ke wapo! me encanta 5/5

  • My bad I can't read you comment. But I thank you for it. :)

I'm glad you enjoy my TRON vid. I hope to get better and have move videos in the future.

  • this is so amazing! The light effects are magnificent! Very life-like! One awesome animation! 10/5 stars!!

  • Thank's DA Archer.

  • ei that was good...

    and a lil funny...

i like the way he turns on and off his own lights...

and the way his bike appears, it looks cool

  • This is great. How long did it take?

  • I use a tool called blender.

  • I too about 1.5 months. But with time I will get faster and better.

  • Cool, but i think you need to take a little break from this!

  • What kind of break? Like a vacation. :) I only spend an hour or two a day on it.

Right now I'm just doing research. You know learning ways to do things better with less effort.

  • You can improve the footplanting by making a "Leg" bone at the ankle extending downwards that is parented to the Master or Hip bone while Disconnected and then using IK solvers. There is a similar solution also used to make sure knees "point" in the correct direction.

This video is easily one of your best, more ambitious with more dynamic camera work.

  • Thanks, I spent some time look this up after I made the video and I think your right. This will make a lot of stuff easier.

Thanks again for you great comments. You have really helped push me.

  • very cool!!

  • Thanks

  • really nice

  • Thanks

  • Cool!!!

  • Thanks

  • Well youve certainly improved since the transformers video, that was very cool!

Your animation has gotten much better, the character has a nice realistic feel to it with the way it moves. Just watch those feet, they seem to slide across the ground a little when he moves sometimes, thats all that i would crit.

The ending is awesome as well, very good use of sfx!

  • Yeah I've had trouble with feet for some time. But I think I figured out the solution which I will type on my next Rig.

  • I dont have anything too constructive to say, but you could color me impressed.

  • I glad to have colored you

  • dude that blew my mind out of my body 5 stars man

  • I'm glad to prove you with an out of body experience.

  • wow thats pretty good for blendehow did you get the clap thing to work..i mean i dont even knwo how to do speciel effects in blender...did u youse the nodes ?

  • I used composite. The glowing stuff is in one render window and the rest of the object are in the main render window. The I blur the glowing render window.

  • This is great! I don't know what you could improve, since I don't know what it's supposed to look like. I'm sorry I can't make many recomendations-- Although, I do think it's really cool! One thing is I think his upped leg should be a bit more detailed and something more on the face. By the way, is this a commercial for a light up frisbee??? x^D

  • Thanks for the great comment. My wife would agree with you. She wanted to see something more on the head.

I think the light up frisbee would be cool, but I'm waiting for the light up bike :)

  • Yep, that would be really cool! What is Tron, anyway?

  • that is your best yet my good friend

  • Thanks

  • Nice job :)

  • thanks :)

  • just a small tip: for the floor, you can set samples for ray mir to 1 to quicken the render time.

  • Wow I'll try that. I hate how slow ray mir render time is so slow.

  • Yup. Only keep in mind its best to set it low when setting the gloss to low

  • neat

i wasnt expecting the light bike

  • :) That's my favorite part.

  • really good job

  • Thanks

  • tht is really amazing compared to losts of stuff i've seen on blender, and i've seen alot

  • Thanks, that means a lot.

  • Lights should come on on the second clap...Other than that, your work is pretty spectacular. I don't know how long you've been doing this, but I seriously think you may have a future in this. I too am trying to convince my wife this is not a waste of time. I feel like I'm playing catch up since I've only started learning 3D and other CGI stuff a year ago.

  • ha ha, that's cool that I'm not be my self. I'll let you know if I every make a $ off this stuff.

  • Niiiiiice... Clap on... Clap off...

    The teleport-in effect was awesome.

  • Thanks. I didn't know what people would think of the clapping thing. I was afraid it was going to be too cheesy.

For the teleport I used the boolean modifier.

  • I've seen a tutorial for that. I haven't put in the time to test it out, myself.

  • Play with it. There is a lot of things you can do with it.

  • thats awsome 5/5

  • Thanks

  • I Really Like The Bump Mapping On The Floor In This One. I Think It's Very Good.

Also, The Glow Effect is Cool ^.^

  • Thanks, I used the composite render option to make the glow. Then I blurred the glow and composite it back into the original render.

  • nice work

  • Thanks

  • awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks

  • Pretty cool!!Youre getting famous man. =D

  • What ever. 30 views and a couple of comment is a far cry from famous. I content just knowing that some people think my work is cool.

If you guys did comment, how would I convince my wife this CGI stuff wasn't a waste of time :)

    Thanks for the comment.

  • awesomeness!

  • Thankfulness for the comment. :)

  • Cool!

    5stars!

  • Thanks I need all the stars I can get.

  • Awesome !! !

  • Thanks for the positive feed back

  • i think it too!You're GREAT!

  • Thanks. I'm still learning. But I think with time I will continue to get better.

  • Awesome! :D
